"Oh good. Why the hell didn't he get eaten by those stupid shadow things?" What the hell were stupid shadow things good for if they didn't eat people that came across them. Also, base security, what the hell? After double checking to make sure she wasn't hallucinating about being in one piece, Kat attempted to sit up on the bed, making a face as the room did it's impression of a top.

Assassin was now fairly certain that the attacker had worked alone. There was little way that two or more people could get past both the creatures and the base defenses. It was probably a single person with a high level of skill.

Kat rolled her eyes, but did so anyways, putting a hand over her face. "I hate it when you're right." Mostly because that meant she was wrong somehow. "I take back everything I said about being bored, getting shot in the head is so not what I had in mind."

Kat shrugged a little, putting her still somewhat fuzzy mind through the paces. "Could I get some water or something? ...Please." Water was the first thing that came to mind, because Kat didn't really ever take medicine or things like that.

Assassin nodded and walked out of the room back towards the kitchen.
He opened the fridge, looking for the bottles of water he was certain they still had. When he found one he walked back to the med bay, opening the bottle and handing it to Kat.

Kat took the bottle, sitting up again, with moderately less dizziness this time. "Thanks." She took a long drink, 'cause apparently getting shot in the head makes you thirsty beyond belief. "So...No chance of tracking this sniper guy tonight. That sucks." Stupid shadow things, she was four times as pissed at Hikari now. "Do you have the bullet?" She assumed that if he didn't, it was somewhere in the living room or something.

"I gave the bullet to GDR when I took you to the med bay. So, I believe he still has it unless he dropped it when he left to throw up."
Assassin looked at Kat.
"...this may be stupid to ask, given everything but do you know of anyone who would want to kill you in particular?"

Kat couldn't help but grin faintly at the thought of GDR vomiting. Which was a weird thing to be happy about, but she'd take revenge in any way, shape or form. "Hm..." She took another sip out of the water bottle, before rubbing her hand across her forehead, and the small scar that had already formed there. "Nothing off the top of my head really, 'cause I'm pretty sure I killed all them first."

Kat grinned, putting the cap back on the water bottle. "Why yes, yes it would." Especially if she threw on a disguise or something and wandered off to the nearest city to do some snooping around, because she really was curious as to who would try and shoot her, and for what purpose. Obviously someone who didn't know her very well, otherwise they would know that a single bullet wouldn't stop her.

"That might be helpful. This feels more like a hired job than a personal grudge." Although technically someone who was doing the hiring must've had a personal grudge, but whatever. "Clearly they didn't know that bullets don't do a lot more than give me a headache."

"Sounds like we might have something to start with." Ah, the young and arrogant. Kat would laugh at their apparent ineptitude, except that she knew she was just as young and as arrogant as they were. Probably moreso, at least with the arrogance. Hm. "How soon do you think we could go?"

"Well hell, I've got all the time in the world here, I'm good whenever." Kat made a face as Assassin brought up Rose and AFR, "Ew. Ew, bad thoughts, ewwwww." She was tempted to throw the water bottle at him, but felt far too grateful for his help at the moment to seriously consider it. "So now we have a two for one deal. Find AFR, get a free Rose as a bonus." Bleh. Other than her immediate jealous reaction, as per expectations, Kat didn't have a problem with AFR/Rose. But she would have to draw the line once there was any gratuitous PDA.

Kat laughed, shaking her head. "That was an entirely different story. The last thing I want to imagine is two of my friends making out. Ick. Ick, oh God, it just keeps getting worse in my head." She put her hand over her eyes, rubbing them with a thumb and forefinger as she slid off the bed with only a small hint of a stumble. "You know what, I'll take another shot to the head now. Ew." And AFR was DEAD, ewwww. Guh, Kat was grossed out now. But on the plus side, she was so not jealous of Rose anymore.
