Eris kicked GDR in the side, not particularly hard, but hard enough to let him know he had to STFU, honestly. Panicking wouldn't help anyone. She looked over at Assassin, and then glancing at the window. She wanted to know how the hell anyone got close enough to the base to shoot someone through the motherfucking window.
Kat was still out cold. D:

"GDR, we need to get away from this window, any windows in fact, stay low to the ground and get to the hallway, make sure Eris follows you." Assassin figured that this would be a good test for GDR and he also hoped that Eris would take the hint and move with him. Assassin grabbed Kat's arm and pulled it over his shoulder. He would make a run for the hallway with her once Eris and GDR had gotten out of the way.

GDR was silenced, though his eyes were still gigantic.
Meanwhile, John heard machinery nearby. Shifting his eyes back to nocturnal, he ran the other direction toward his motorcycle, turning off his cell phone and putting away his gun. Confused as all hell, he knew he had somehow failed his mission, but sticking around waiting for the base defenses to turn on would be a stupid idea.

GDR began to scuttle on all fours towards the hall, all the while looking back at Eris and mouthing 'follow'. Though he had no doubt she would.

Eris wasted no time in moving towards the doorway, crawling quickly. Now was the opposite of the time to freeze up and become all freaked out. Except that Eris was freaked out, in her own little private corner of her mind, but she was quite excellent at ignoring that corner and focusing on the task at hand.
Kat was still out cold, and will be until further notice.

Assassin moved Kat more onto his back and kept himself low to the ground as he followed the others into the hallway. He laid Kat against the wall, keeping her close to the corners until they could be sure the threat was gone. He moved his head around the corner to look back out the broken window, narrowing his eyes when the base alarms finally decided to go off.

GDR made way for Eris, who was quite possibly the only person he cared for enough to let her in before him. He then slid into the edge of the hallway. Around his hand, he began to wind up a spiral of air using his powers.

Eris pulled herself up into a crouch, which was much more effective for standing up quickly, as soon as she reached the hallway. She squinted her eyes against the harsh light of the hallway versus the relative darkness of the TV room. Times like these made her wish she could do some sort of fancy transformation thingy like Kat did.
Kat hadn't moved, although the wound on her head was starting to scab over already, leaving the trickle of blood behind. Man, she was going to have a bitch of a headache when she woke up.

Assassin glanced at Kat for a moment. With the alarms on he doubted that her attacker would strike once more but they would need to check the area to be sure. He looked over at GDR, "We need to make sure the area is clear, can you back me up on that?" He waved a hand at Eris as he spoke, pointing at her then at his eyes then back to Kat, indicating that he wanted her to watch Kat if they had to move again.

GDR wound up the tendril of air tighter and tighter like a spring. He was going to use it to sense an attacker.
He stretched his arm out finally after a great deal of winding and the G on his hand was exposed as the air whipped out of his hand and through the open window. His mind stayed on the tendril of air as it spiralled around the base at a fast pace, hitting only metal of the robots and the sides of the base every so often, but never a human-feeling material of any kind. He finally let the air go. "They're gone."

Eris nodded at Assassin, moving somewhat closer to Kat, sparing a glance to the wound on her head. She knew she would be find, logically she knew she would be, but that didn't prevent her from being weirdly worried.
Kat stirred slightly, her healing factor nearly done, but not enough to let her wake up yet. x.x She was soooo going to kick some ass once this was over.

"You are certain?" If GDR was right about it, he would probably earn Assassin's respect, if not his trust. Assassin took the chance and walked back into the living room, still keeping low. He went back over to the couch and searched for a few moments later before returning with the bullet in his hand.

"Wind doesn't lie, or at least in my experience it doesn't. Nothing but robots and grass."

Assassin nodded at him. "Good job, then." He looked at Eris and Kat. "We should get her to the med bay, though it seems her body is handled the wound alright." He handed the bullet to GDR and picked Kat up again, this time to take her to med bay.

GDR slipped out mysteriously, probably to puke.

Kat made a noise halfway between annoyed and pained, sort of half-awake now, but totally groggy and disoriented in about ten different ways. Jesus, it was like a hangover, except she wasn't supposed to get those. Damn. What just happened?
Eris followed closely after Assassin, a frown engraved on her face.

Assassin set Kat down on one of the make shift beds they were using since Hikari destroyed the normal ones. He looked over at her as she started to wake up. He was still curious as to why someone would shoot at Kat in the first place. He glanced back at Eris.

Eris lurked near the doorway of the ruined med bay. It still smelled too much like hospital for her to really enjoy being inside it for any extended period of time.
Kat flexed her fingers, opening her eyes, before shutting them against the harsh glare of the lights. She groaned, running through her own mental checklist of body parts, flexing her fingers one by one as she started talking again. "...What just happened?"

"You were shot in the head." Assassin was a bit surprised to hear her talking already but he knew that her healing process was probably working on overdrive.

Kat attempted to open her eyes again, having a somewhat greater degree of sucess this time around. Or, at least she wasn't immediately blinded. "Huh." She fell silent for a few moments, taking stock of her toes. If she could still feel those, chances were that she hadn't lost anything major. "That explains the headache."
