He let her loose gently... "so... friends to the end... well... my end anyways." He smiled. "I might have a chance to go out with you tho... this world only tries to end on average once every 6 months" he smiled. Tho AFR would be the first person to die naturally. "So will you still visit me when ?I'm old and grey... so sitting in a retirement home... making baskets and wondering where all my grandchildren are to visit?"

Rose smiled some. Sadly though. That was a hard truth for her to face. AFR dying. Any and all her human friends dying. Rose was guaranteed life as long as she wanted it. She would look this way for another thousand or so years if she wanted. The only way she would die is if someone killed her or a disease took her life. Immortality. To an extent. Oh god she was going to get all emotional now. She nodded her head, her voice hitching an octave. "Yeah of course AFR."

AFR knows well of his human limitations... he smiled, but also sadly. "Rose... don't let me forget any of this... I want to know of you and the clan until my body refuses to continue."

Rose bit on her lower lip and shifted. She was bouncing her knee, trying not to cry. That was her weakspot. The human limitations. She hadn't had these issues in years. A century or so. Rose nodded her head. "Okay" And give her a few seconds. There was a quiet whimpering noise and then Rose buried her head. She was crying.

AFR held onto her... thinking for moments... then realized his mistake... he was so dumb. "oh, Rose..." He pulled her in. "I'm so sorry... I didn't..." How could he be so foolish? "It doesn't have to end that way for all of us... and you know well how powerful the mind is... we will never be apart."

This was something Rose didn't talk about. There was a difference between dying in battle and a natural death. She couldn't fight that. Rose couldn't protect anyone from that. It was inevitable. And she hated that. Rose just clung and continued to cry, shaking.

He felt really bad... for forcing this on her a second time. He held her close and kissed her head in his chest. "Time will always play fools of us all Rose... but there is still many, many years before you have to face that demon... and I'm not leaving without death coming to claim me himself." There wasn't much good he could say about death... everybody died... even Armok would die eventually. "I've walked this earth dead before once, Rose. For you... I'd do it again. You can't be rid of me that easily." He tried to smile.

Rose looked up at him. A sniffling, crying mess. She didn't know what to say right now. Her head was pounding from all the emotion. It was making her dizzy. Just another reason she didn't cry. Rose ended up clinging right back to AFR for fear of falling off the desk. She sniffled.

He knew... he held her, she wasn't falling anywhere on his watch. "I understand... if anyone it's me... and I never want to leave you, Rose... you know that for absolute sure. I hate time... I hate it so much." He closed his eyes. "If I could stop time... I'd do it in a heart beat."

Rose stayed very still. Just clinging. "I'm getting very dizzy. Too much emotion" She mumbled quietly, her words nearly incoherent.

AFR nodded... he helped her carefully to Armok's bed... he gently put her into it and covered her up, but he wasn't leaving yet. "Rose... I will do everything I could while living to help you for when I'm not... no matter how long it may take..." He took her hand. "For now... I will embrace every moment with you... and I'll be honored to help you do the same." He tucked her in... "Love conquers all, Rose... even death... I will show you how someday."

Rose closed her eyes when she was helped up and into Armok's bed. She curled up tightly, her grip on AFRs hand tight. "Promise?"

AFR nodded. "of course, Rose... " He ran his thumb across her knuckles... "You'll see." He half smiled. Already devising how to do it in his mind. "I'm here to stay... it will take hands from hell itself to take me away from you." He would be at her side... there was no way he would let her see him leave... it was the last thing he wanted and maybe the same for her.

Rose just continued to hold onto his hand. She closed her eyes once more. She seemed to relax slightly. The dizzy spell and emotional barrage she's had today knocked her clean out. Though there wasn't a moment all through the night that she would let go of his hand.

AFR was still right there, by choice of course. He didn't sleep... he couldn't. He hoped she'd be alright and would occasionally look at her and smile. But now he had a mission... cheat death... for as long as he could.

Rose shifted and made a quiet noise as she started to wake up. Her hold seemed to tighten from time to time while she was sleeping. Rose had been dreaming D: that was new. She yawned quietly and opened her eyes

AFR smiled. "Mornin'..." He moved to look at her fully. "I'm glad you're awake... you stirred a bit." His other hand moved to the one she was holding his with. "Are you ok, Rose?" super concerned

Rose smiled a little and shifted where she was laying. Rose nodded her head. "I'm fine" Rose couldn't remember anything she dreamed about
