Rose didn't turn to see the explosion. She knew exactly what happened. And she knew exactly what Kane was about to do. So she didn't bother turning around. Her mind was more focused on Armok. The edges of her vision blurred just slightly. What she was about to do was probably the stupidest move she could manage. With every ounce of force, anger and energy she had in her, Rose launched herself at Armok, tackling him before slamming an energy gloved fist towards his face.

-Armok's face rippled before she hit him... and it was Armok, not the demon, who took the full force of her blow. After he finished bouncing and skidding... he rose, shaky... but not from physical pain. Emotional agony rippled with black fury and unholy rage-
... Rose...
-He slams his sword into the ground, and then leaned his head back, roaring. The Khaos Legion erupted from their cover, firing at Kane and the arcanists, charging forward with their weapons, giving Armok and Rose room to play-
I stomached your betrayal... I let you steal things, from my memory, from my computers. I let you have free reign of my kingdom... and you thank me... like this?
She hates you, Armok... She's Kane's ... friend...
-He bares his teeth, and the black eye fades, becoming his eye once more-
Never again, Rose.
-Armok throws the sickle into the air... and the blackened sky spews lightning and fire. Corpses all around the sundered countryside scream in agony as unholy green energy erupts from their orifices, bringing them to a semblance of life-

The arcanists used a number of things to back up Kane's advance. It seemed like Ice was most used. Kane of course led that charge with a set of rocks in each hand he sent a barrage of them in a spread at the approaching battalion before uprooting another chunk of building for defense from their volley of bullets.

"What? You must be fucking kidding me. Compared to what you've done, I am motherfucking Nun over here" She really was. "It's not stealing if you let me take it, is it?" She snarled quietly. Rose took a few steps back, settling into her position, energy dripping from her fingertips, cracking the ground. "Why should I thank you for all the damage you've done? You've destroyed lives, Armok." She still glared at him. Rose glanced up for a moment, then down. "Great. Undead. Like I haven't handled this before." FUCK ARMOK AND THE HORSE HE RODE IN ON. D< That was her total stance right now. "Bring it, Britney." Ohhh. What. She waited patiently for now.

-Two soldiers go down, but a mile away, the sharp crack of a high caliber sniper rifle signals the end of an arcanists' life. Armok rips his armor off of his chest, slinging it aside as he stares at Rose. He rips off pauldrons, then gloves. He pulls off his shoufa, revealing blood dripping down from his chin, running from his lip and nose-
The damage I've done...?
-Armok laughs at her, a very unpleasant sound given that he just ripped off his armor with nothing but his hands-
So, that is how it is? You think you can kiss me in the corridors, and play with me at night, and just walk out with classified intelligence?
-He shakes his head, taking a step towards Rose-
Speaking of destroying lives... The Legion should be wreaking havoc in Aldria right now.

Rose watched him carefully. "All of that was real. Sadly, it's been wasted. I could never have counted on you to be the same man you were when I met you. Silly girl." She shook her head. "Unfortunately, your cause is corrupt. And so is your mind. I'm walking away with all of that information. And there isn't a damned thing you can do about it." She narrowed her eyes once more. "You're a bastard." She didn't move when he had stepped forward.

Kane looked back to see an arcanist go down... he signal to them and the two combined their abilities of water and fire to create a smog to mask their advance... now... it was a matter of picking them off in the confusion.

-The Khaos Legion soldiers split up into pairs... and some howl, ripping off their gas masks to give into their inner demon or wolves... Sporadic gunfire slams into the arcanists and their defenses as the Legion approaches-

as the fog moved over the ground unit... screams of what sounded like men being ripped in half filled the battle scene. Cracks of spines sent chills in other still live soldiers. Kane smiled... "Do you all fear death?"... "Well... do you?" They shot into nothingness. As the Fog passes... Kane is there standing near the two brawling... "Tanor is playing you for a fool, Lord Armok..."

You're right... you don't deserve the title of the woman I loved. This sick abomination in her place can rot in hell with Kane.

Kane let the blast breeze past him then he smiled. "Have you forgotten what brought him here in the first place? What did you think he was going to do with that power?" He challenged again. "Now amidst your war for your power back he WILL... swoop down and take everything from you as you have me." Kane noticed that the fog subsided and Armok's men howled into the night... "If you'd please excuse me... I have other matters to attend..." He sprinted to the pack.

As the first mob sized him up a foolish wolf... probably well out of his league lunged himself at Kane. Kane stuck out his palm and the wolf yelped as he stopped dead against it as if Kane was a stone statue... then he proceeded in carrying that wolf with a single hand and he actually batted away two other wolves away from him with it before chucking the body at one of the demons ahead.

Rose took this as her opening to go back to the base and get Hawk and then GTFO. She brought Hawk back to the Shadow Clan base and went off to find Kat.

-Armok starts to chase Kane but is hit by a jagged chunk of ice. He looks at the lacerations on his chest... and grins-
Kane... how many of your survivors will you let me massacre, while you kill my infinite amount of soldiers?
-He shadowports to an arcanist, then eviscerates the man with the sickle. The man's intestines... and soul... both spill from his robes-
