The Planets and Races of Kobol, Charonn, and Caprica
The Tsorov'ande Doon, the mighty rulers of the three planets in this solar system, once represented the face of the mighty Empire of Ash'kandor. However, almost seven thousand years ago, the mighty galactic caravans and battle-stars began trickling further and further apart. As the decades went by, and the centuries, eventually the flow of intergalactic traffic halted almost entirely.
Charonn, a planet roughly a third the size of Earth, was home to fifteen Tsorov'ande Doon, along with fifty Talons*. The Tsorov'ande Doon, humanoid creatures that stand roughly 5 to 5'6, are originally from another galaxy altogether, and settled in this galaxy only to properly indoctrinate the isolated peoples of Kobol and Caprica. Along with the Tsorov'ande Doon, a few thousand of the enlightened Tai'shar had come as well. This number had been supplemented by the caravans, and maintained itself at a steady four thousand until the first interplanetary war.
Kobol, a mystical planet roughly the size of Earth, is home to roughly three billion Kobolites. The sentient, human species of Kobol are between six and eight feet tall, depending on gender. Kobol's land to sea ratio is approximately 1:1. Every inch of the planet is untamed wilderness. The people here live by the grace of the balance of nature, which is what they worship. Druidic magics and elemental mastery are the dominant 'powers' of Kobol, and their magics are capable of bringing stone to life... or metal. **Refer to Avatar for a better image of both the Kobolites and the planet Kobol.**
Caprica was the technological hub of the galaxy for millennium. There are few citizens on Caprica without at least one biomechnical implant or alteration to their body, and the entire military consists of cyborgs and advanced biomechnical warriors. The Capricans have built floating cities, space stations, even advanced teleporters and warp/lightspeed machina for aerospace fighters and carriers. The planet is roughly 75% the size of Earth, with the land to water ratio of 2:1. The rugged terrain of Caprica is full of minerals and rare metals that are used for their biomechanical limbs and organs, as well as their complex, advanced machinery and electronics. Powerful warmachines and aircraft are created here, for the day when the Tsorov'ande Doon return home on their Great Journey. The population of Caprica is roughly two and a half billion. The citizens of Caprica are like slightly larger versions of humans from Earth--- the average height for a male that is in shape is 6'10 at around 260 pounds.
**Some implants include- Eyes, hearts, arms, legs, hands. The military implants are similar to those found in the Terminator series. The more elite the military unit is, the more dangerous and harder to kill the man or woman is**
The first interplanetary war began when six of the fifteen Tsorov'ande Doon wanted to seize Kobol for their Caprican followers. The planets lush natural resources and plant species offer a variety of both narcotic drugs and other prototype drugs, as well as massive deposits of Felsteel, a type of metal used to create artificial, quasi-living nanites that create self-repairing battleships. Seven of the nine other Tsorov'ande Doon chose neutrality, and refused to raise arms against their brethren.
The remaining two Tsorov'ande Doon, however, chose to side with the Kobolites, and aided them against the Capricans. Of the eight warring Tsorov'ande Doon, two of the creatures stood apart from the rest of their brethren---
Mazzrym, the leader of the six Tsorov'ande Doon that were attempting to pillage Kobol, was an ambitious, dangerous man. His desire to further himself and gain power was viewed by the older Tsorov'ande Doon as an admirable trait, one that would serve the Empire well. Little did they know it would someday soon be their demise.
The second notable combatant in the first interplanetary war was Erithyl. She was one of three female Tsorov'ande Doon in the galaxy. The people of Kobol had welcomed her with open arms to their culture and their tribal council. They viewed her as an extension of the Goddess of Nature, and sure enough of her powers, Earth was the most powerful.
She fought with the Kobolites against the armies of Caprica and sent her Talons against the Talons of the other six. During the years of war that followed, politics and intrigue amongst the Tsorov'ande Doon caused three of the seven to side with Erithyl. The remaining four joined with Mazzyrm, and although they outnumbered the five of Kobol, they were hard pressed to claim any of the tribal grounds. As the war raged on, countless lives were lost on both sides--- the end came with the death of seven Tsorov'ande Doon. The Capricans refused to wage war against the Kobolites any longer, leaving Mazzyrm and four others against two led by Erithyl... and the entirety of the Tribes of Kobol. Mazzrym had little choice but to surrender, and if not for the death of seven Tsorov'ande Doon, he would have been exiled in shame.
The Kobolites gained a sort of respect from both the Caprican government and the four Tsorov'ande Doon that had sided with Mazzrym--- but Mazzrym's hatred had not faded in the least. Indeed, his bloodlust for Kobolites and his lust for their resources had not been sated at all. Although there was no proof of it, the two Tsorov'ande Doon that had remained faithful to Erithyl were assassinated. This left Erithyl, Mazzrym, and four of his faithful lackeys to rule the Council of Stars. Erithyl found herself blocked out of political power and endured the shame in a sort of quiet exile on Kobol.
Her exile was short lived, however. Roughly six thousand years ago, Mazzrym's lust for power resurfaced in a false attempt to 'unify' the people of Kobol and Caprica. Capricans had perfected a lesser version of the Talon automatons, robotic centurions that were nearly impossible to destroy and were capable of carnage on catastrophic levels. These lesser Talons, dubbed Cylons, were perfect in every way but one--- there was no AI program that the Capricans could create that would turn these centurions into true Talons. The art of creating the Talons had been lost along with the communication with the Empire... so Mazzyrm decided to exploit the most powerful druids and shamans of the Kobolites into creating a sort of artificial intelligence. The premise was that these robotic creatures would maintain a peace and deal with the mundane tasks on both planets, thus enabling the people to begin the process of coexisting and learning the ways and cultures of their respective neighbors.
Despite Erithyl's best efforts to prevent it, the eventual vote was 2:3, in favor of the union of magic with technology. It took three attempts to perfect the union, but once it was completed, it truly was remarkable. Erithyl almost began to believe that Mazzrym truly had changed until Eirayana revealed his plot to her--- Eirayana had been the Tsorov'ande Doon that had voted with Erithyl against Mazzrym for the unification of the planets. She warned of a dire plan to have the final batch of Cylons begin eradicating the Kobolites immediately upon their 'awakening' by the most powerful druids and shamans on Kobol. Erithyl took that knowledge to the Kobol tribal council, and urged cunning over immediate retaliation. Working alongside the shamans and druids, as the last half of the Cylons began arriving for their 'awakening,' she began warping their 'programming.' When the day rolled around when Mazzrym's diabolical plan was to be set into motion, he found that not only had the Cylons not slain the Kobolites--- they were loyal to them.
In a fit of rage, he murdered Eirayana in front of the council. Before he could slay Erithyl, she revealed a plot of her own--- Transport ships full of Kobol's greatest warriors and Cylons swept through the streets, killing any Cylon not their own, allowing the living soldiers to either surrender or be executed. Mazzyrm had his three remaining Tsorov'ande Doon battle Erithyl as he attempted to find a way to stop the coup de'tat. Unfortunately for Erithyl, he succeeded. Mazzyrm had created an overwrite frequency for the Talons loyal to Eirayana and most of Erithyl's as well. Two of Erithyl's three remaining Talons held off a horde of enemy Cylons and Talons so that Erithyl and the final Talon could evacuate most of the Kobolites and loyal Cylons back to their planet.
Knowing that Mazzyrm's hatred was directed predominantly at herself, Erithyl used the power of her immortality to create an anomaly in the core of Charonn. The planet entered a period of extreme seismic activity as power stirred in the core of the planet. Mazzyrm had little choice but to evacuate, taking all of his loyalist soldiers with him to Caprica. The hub of the Empire in this sector imploded, becoming a black hole. Erithyl's last view of Kobol and Caprica happened six thousand years ago. Her Talon guided her starship towards the only other habitable planet in the solar system... Earth.
