Love long titles
ANYWAYS
As many of you may, or may not know...probably not, but I decided to write an SC comic book for part of my creative project in English =D The first out of five is almost done, and if I work really good, I should have two up before the end of the night or something like that =D
So I'ma be posting it here and yadda yadda.
BUT I have a few questions that I want/need to ask:
1. COMIC BOOK COVERS. 5 books, five covers, I need help/ideas for designing them =D 2. Pairings? Since I'm only in the first one, I'm ttly up for pair suggestions, just because HOLY FUCK WHO THE HELL HASN'T BEEN MARRIED TO WHOEVER THE HELL ELSE I CAN'T CHOOSE. 3. Uh...Yeah, that's it, I already have the storyline and shizzle worked out, so kthnx<3
OKAYGO!

HEYISSUE#1SAYWHAT?!
THE SHADOW CLAN “APOCALYPSE NOW” Book one of five
FRONT COVER: The entire Shadow Clan is featured on the cover of the book. The point of view is from the side, and they all seem to be moving into action, from the left hand side, to the right. In the very front of the pack is Armok, with his greatsword held above his head, and his mouth opened in a roar. Beside him is Kari, holding her two swords at her side, her long black hair streaming out behind her. On Armok's right side, crouched, and half-hidden is Kat, her claws out, and her teeth bared in a snarl. Behind Kari, stands AFR, in a long brown trenchcoat, holding two swords very similar to Kari's, except they are silver instead of black. Beside AFR is Assassin, holding an odd sword. Behind him is Hawk, looking cheeky and winking, her bow and arrow drawn, aiming towards the other side of the page. Up above, in a puff of smoke, Brink's form is somewhat visible, with his long green tail. Rose is present on the right hand side of the page, her head looking down, her long red hair obscuring her expression. Her hands are clasped in front of her, and it seems that the SC is running towards her.
PAGE ONE: No panels. The background of the entire picture is black. Across the top, small pictures of the members of the Shadow Clan, with their names across the top, and a incredibly short summary of their powers below as follows.
KAT – Animal shapeshifter, healing factor. ARMOK – Hellfire and necromancy. KARI – Shadow control/teleportation, telepathy. ASSASSIN – Human. AFR – Dead. HAWK – Healer. ROSE – Telepath, telekinetic. BRINK – Teleporter.
Below this is a piece of splash art of the Shadow Clan facing off against a horde of angry demons, outlined with a red border. Below the picture is the introduction.
INTRO: “It's the end of the world as we know it...
Welcome to the world that you don't know. The year is 2017. Life as you know it...is still almost exactly like you know it. Oh yes, there are differences. For instance, did you know that China is the new world power? Closely followed by Japan, then Canada, then Poland, and finally the United States of America. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Don't worry, they're still the worlds main supplier of McDonalds and MTV. But the differences run a little bit deeper than than. The casual obvserver won't notice it, you probably won't notice it.
Which is exactly how the SHADOW CLAN likes it. An almost secret organization, formed to protect the Earth from new threats. Outside threats. Just like their name, they operate in darkness, and away from any other governing bodies. Don't call them, they'll call you.
Why do they do it? Well, someone has to. It'd be such a shame to let the demonds overrun everything, don't you think?
Unfortunately, the Shadow Clan has some demons of their own.
...And we feel fine.”
PAGE TWO: Divided into three horizontal panels. The top and bottom ones are the same size, and both are smaller than the middle panel.
PANEL ONE: Solid black. The only thing present in this panel is a voice over box, coloured with a purple gradient.
Kat Voice Over: “Kick, duck, slash, dodge, repeat...”
PANEL TWO: The background of this panel is desolate, exactly as you'd expect a wasteland to look. KAT is in the center of the panel, her left arm extended out in a follow through from the slashing motion she just completed. Her right arm is at her side, the inside of her arm pointed towards the reader, her fist clenched tightly. It's quite clear that she has claws instead of normal hands. A tail is visible in the background, as is a pair of ears, poking through her hair. Most of her hair is pulled back in a tight bun at the back of her head. Her eyes are clearly feline in nature, and her visible teeth are pointed like fangs. A small box by her side informs the reader that her name is Kat.
PANEL THREE: This panel is solid black again, also featuring a voice over box with a purple gradient.
Kat Voice Over: “I've been doing this almost my entire life.”
PAGE THREE: Divided into two square panels on top, then one long horizontal panel, and another two square panels beneath it.
PANEL ONE: A full body shot of Kat crouched, one clawed arm in the air, this time with a full out scowl on her face.
Kat Voice Over: “I've head the fate of the Earth in my hands a lot too.”
PANEL TWO: A close up facial shot of Kat. Her attention has apparently been diverted to something on her right, as that is where her eyes are looking.
Kat Voice Over: “It's not as hard as everyone seems to think.”
PANEL THREE: A long shot POV, as if looking over Kat's shoulder. KARI is visible, with long black hair, although most other details are lost at this distance. She is in the middle of swinging two dark swords through the mid-section of a gruesome looking horned demon.
Kat Voice Over: “When you've got claws, you just need to sink them in a little more – provide a little extra grip, you know?”
Kat: “Kari!”
PANEL FOUR: There is a diagonal line dividing this panel in half. A shot of Kat's face is on the right, looking left, while there is a shot of Kari's face on the left, looking right. It's implied that Kari has turned her head at Kat's call, and met her eyes.
PANEL FIVE: Kat moves closer to Kari, who stands loosely, her two swords hanging at her sides.
Kat Voice Over: “And despite all that, I've never had a fight like this before. The stakes are high, the odds are higher, and the stakes are stacked. For every single one of them I tear apart, three more of them are poised to stab my back...”
Kat: “Have you seen--”
Kari: (cutting her off) “No. He's not here.”
Kat: “...We should regroup.”
Kari: “Everyone's nearby...”
PAGE FOUR AND FIVE: Pages four and five have no induvidual panels, and instead is a splash page. POV is a far zoomed out image of the entire battlefield. The setting looks very much like a barren, stony desert wasteland. There are people scattered throughout the whole picture, clearly identified apart from the demons by their clothing, and visage. There are also more demons than there are people. The demons in question range from a dull green, to a burnt orange, or a tomato red. Other than the colour, they are all very generic looking, and most of them possess a pair of horns upon their head. Kari and Kat are at the very farthest right in the page, almost off panel. A little to their left, and standing on a tall rock is HAWK, her arms poised on the act of firing off an arrow. Below her, at ground level is ASSASSIN, carrying a sword, and also in the process of cleaving the head of a demon, a look of intense concentration on his face, in contrast to Hawk's cocky smirk. Further on their right is ARMOK, his greatsword held in both hands over his head, teeth bared in middle of a feral roar. A ring of demon bodies surrounds him, although this does not seem to hinder the still-advancing demons. Below him, is AFR, holding a pair of short swords, almost mimicking Kari's style. He is facing off against a demon that is nearly two heads taller than he is, and a rare exception to the “generic” rule. At the very far left, up on a ledge, closer to the “camera” than anyone else is ROSE. Her eyes are glowing a bright red with no visible pupil, and she had a red outer glow along her body. Her head is thrown back, and her mouth is open in a silent scream. There are no demons around her. Stretched across the very top of the page is “The Shadow Clan” in red distressed lettering.
Kat Voice Over: [con't] “...Good thing I have so many people watching it.”
Kari: [con't] “--They're just a little busy at the moment.”
PAGE SIX: One long vertical panel on the right, three small square panels down the side, one short horizontal panel at the bottom. The order goes long vertical panel -> top square panel -> middle square -> bottom square -> horizontal panel.
PANEL ONE: POV on the ground, looking upwards. In the forefront of the panel, there is a cloud of smoke, partially obscuring a figure inside of it. A green prehensile tail, with a sharp, bony plate on the end, that resembles a knife, is clearly visible. The figure has apparently just teleported there with a “BANNF”. Both Kat and Kari, who are fairly close by, are looking at the figure, Kat with a smile, and Kari with a scowl. A caption box by the figure covered in smoke reads BRINK.
Kat: “Brink!”
PANEL TWO: POV is over Brink'S right shoulder, as Kat embraces him, with a smile on her face, despite their surroundings and circumstances. Kari can be seen in the background, still not looking very happy.
Kat: “Oh thank God, I thought when I couldn't find you--”
Brink: “I'm fine.”
PANEL THREE: Same point of view as the second panel. In this frame, Kat has pulled back, obscuring Kari's face from the scene, while Kat's takes up most of the remaining space between Brink's green shoulder, and the rest of the panel. Her smile is not so broad. Her right hand is held in front of her, between them, and something red, most likely blood, can clearly be seen on her fingertips. Her left hand is still resting on his arm, leaving a ring on her ring finger openly visible.
Kat: “You're bleeding.”
Brink: “I'm fine.”
Kat: “Where's Hawk? She can fix this...”
PANEL FOUR: POV switches to a side shot, close up of Kari's face, specifically her lips, which are pursed in a not please manner. Kat and Brink are visible in the background, Brink with his arms around Kat's waist in a protective manner, and Kat with one hand on Brink's shoulder, twisting her neck to look at Kari, frowning. In this panel, it is easy to see that Brink is a tall humanoid alien, covered in green scales.
Kari: “What did he tell you?”
Brink: “Told me to try and teleport to her.”
Kari: “And?”
Brink: “I can't. Just like you couldn't. Too much magical interference.”
PAGE SEVEN: Divided in half horizontally. The top half is divided even further into one long horizontal panel at the very top, and two square ones below it. The bottom half just takes up half the page.
PANEL ONE: Zoomed out side shot, long shot of the group of three. Kat and Brink are on the left side, still wrapped up in each other, while Kari is on the right. She is holding her swords in a reverse grip, looking stormy.
Kari: “So what's the plan then?”
Brink: “Kill as many of these b!$%@#s as possible and try to get to her anyways.”
Kari: “We're outnumber three to one! And there's going to be more if nobody closes that rift soon!
PANEL TWO: Close up on Kat's mouth, her sharpened teeth clearly visible, bared in a smirk.
Kat: “Three to one? These are my kind of odds.”
PANEL THREE: Shot of Kari, looking like she's yelling, as if Kat's comment finally pushed her over the edge.
Kari: “This isn't a stupid game Kat! You can't pretend to be witty and laugh it off and hope that'll protect you from getting ripped in half! For once in your life--”
PANEL FOUR: POV from behind, and above Kat and Brink. A large demon has landed between the two parties, with a loud roar, cutting off the end of Kari's sentence.
Demon: “ROOOOOAR.”
PAGE EIGHT: Long vertical panel on the right, four small square panels down the side, one horizontal pattern at the bottom.
PANEL ONE: Long vertical panel. POV is over the shoulder of the demon, looking down at Kat and Brink. They have seperated, both of them standing in a defensive ready position. Kat's arms are at her sides, palms open, and pointing towards the demon, crouching lower than she was before. Brink's tail is poised over his shoulder, the blade glinting in the darkness.
Brink: “Darling, let me take care of this.
Kat: “Oh no baby, it would be my pleasure.”
PANEL TWO: Top small square panel. The head of the demon hits the ground, with the focus on the head. Kat and Brink are in the background, mildly surprised expression on Brink's face, while Kat has her hands on her hips, feeling rather snippy for getting her fun taken away.
Kari: (off panel) “Do all Xianites react so slowly, or is it just you?”
PANEL THREE: Second small square panel. From behind Brink, Kari is shown in the middle of leaping away, only one sword in her hand this time.
Brink: (off panel) “Do all Magoiyans have a stick up their ass, or is it just you?”
PANEL FOUR: Third small square panel. Sideways close up of Kat and Brink, about a foot apart from each other. Brink has his hands on Kat's arms, looking over her head, presumably in the direction of Kari, with an expression of mild annoyance. Kat is looking up at him, concern apparent in her eyes.
Kat: “I'll go get Hawk for you.”
Brink: “Baby, it's just a little cut. We should get back there.”
Kat: “Yeah, God forbid they do all the winning without us.”
Brink: “One more thing...” PANEL FIVE: Long panel at the very bottom. Only a sillouette, but it is clearly Kat and Brink kissing.
Brink: (off panel) “I love you.”
Kat: (off panel) “I love you too.”
PAGE NINE: Big square on top, taking up 3/4's of the page. Two smaller squares on the bottom. PANEL ONE: Sudden change of scenery. POV is on the floor, in a darkened hallway. There are two feet on either side of the panel. Ahead, in a lit room, is a small knot of people, apparently talking amongst themselves. The caption in the upper left hand corner reads “One week ago, Shadow Clan base, Darkmoor, Europe.”
Kat: (off panel) “Hey guys, has anyone seen Hawk?”
PANEL TWO: POV is behind and above the group of people in the room, looking towards the door, with the exception of one person, Assassin, standing beside the door, leaning against the wall. Kat is shown emerging from a darkened hallway, looking down at her barefeet. She is wearing a black dress knee length dress, and her hair is pulled up into a fancy knot. Unlike the preceeding pictures, there is no sign of claws, a tail, or ears on her person. The only thing that does remain is her eyes, which are still feline in shape and size, and her teeth.
Kat: “'Cause I really need to borrow a pair of shoes from her, and...”
PANEL THREE: POV is from across the room, showing everyone from the waist up. Kat is on the far left of the panel, while the small group of people, including Kari, is on the far right. Kat's face looks confused, while everyone else is looking somber.
Kat: “...What'd I miss?”
PAGE TEN: Divided up into five long vertical panels.
PANEL ONE: POV is a full body shot of Armok, who is the speaker throughout, looking almost worried. He is clearly the biggest man in the room, with a large, imposing sword strapped to his back. Heavily muscled, he is obviously the powerhouse fighter in the Clan. His hair is long and black with jagged crimson streaks through it. The drawing of his body extends outside of the frame around it. All the other pictures on this page follow suit.
Armok: “It's Rose.” PANEL TWO: Full body shot of Kari, who seems frustrated with something, as both her fists are clenched. Her long black hair is straight down, past the halfway point on her shoulders. She has bangs almost obscuring her eyes, but it's easy to see that they are purple in colour. She seems to be Asian, in terms of looks and colouring.
Armok: (off panel) “We found her in her room ten minutes ago...” PANEL THREE: AFR, looking glum. Same sort of full body shot as before. He isn't quite as heavily muscled as Armok, nor is there any signs of his swords that we saw previously. He is wearing a long, worn trench coat, almost down to the ground, and left open at the front. His hair is a light brown and shaggy looking, falling in front of his eyes, which are a peculiar black colour. He is very obviously pale.
Armok: (off panel) “She wasn't concious. She was barely breathing...”
PANEL FOUR: A shot of Hawk, with her facial features set, although looking uncharacterisicaly serious. She seems to be the most delicate looking out of the group, the tall girl, with long blonde hair, nearly down to her waist. There is also no sign of the bow and arrow she was seen with before.
Armok: (off panel) “We put her in the infirmary. Hawk tried what she could, but she doesn't know what's wrong.”
PANEL FIVE: Assassin, leaning against the wall, his arms crossed. His face looks carefully neutral, as to not give away what he is thinking. He is about the same height as Armok, although very obviously a lot less muscled. He seems very lean, and is wearing a brown tunic of some kind. His sword that we saw previously is in a sheath at his waist. He has dark brown hair, cropped short.
Armok: (off panel) “We know tonight was supposed to be your night off with Brink, but...”
PAGE ELEVEN: Divided up into a large upper panel taking up 3/4s of the page, and a smaller panel below it, taking up the remaining ¼.
PANEL ONE: POV focus on Kat standing in the doorway, from the waist up, looking down at her feet, her face hidden in shadow. Assassin is on the very left edge of the panel, almost outside it. His expression is still neutral. Kat voice over: I think I should've figured it out right then and there.
Kat: “No, yeah, I'll stay...Of course I'll stay, me and Brink both...He'll understand. Do you think it was...an attack?”
PANEL TWO: Long shot of Armok, and the rest of the group on his right, from the shoulders up. Armok looks weary. The rest of the group has mostly the same expressions as before.
Armok: “We don't know...”
PAGE TWELVE: One panel, taking up half the page, centered halfway down the overall page.
PANEL ONE: POV is above a bed, with the head of the bed pointed towards the upper right hand corner of the page. Lying in the bed, attached to a respirator, and more than a few monitors surrounding the bedside, is Rose. Her eyes are closed, and she is clearly not concious. Her hair is a shocking red colour, the colour of her namesake. She is very pale, and has dark circles under her eyes. Both her arms are lying ontop of the covers, and a black swirling tattoo crawls up her left arm, ending somewhere by her heart. The voice over gradient is crimson.
Armok voice over: “We can only pray.”

I DON'T HAVE TIME TO FORMAT BUT HERE'S THE SECOND ONE ANYWAYS SORRY IF IT'S HARD TO READ I APOLOGIZE FOR THE FLUFF BUT I HAVE EXPLOSIONS TO COUNTERACT IT K?
Also, I've done a bunch of editing to the other one, WHICH MEANS IT'S ALSO NOT FORMATTED OMG YAY
------
THE SHADOW CLAN “APOCALYPSE NOW” Book two of five
COVER: The cover is a picture of Rose, from the waist up. Her red hair is blown back, as if by a strong gust of wind. She has her eyes closed, and her head bent forward, just a little bit. Her hands are head out, about a foot apart, her palms facing inwards. Her black tattoo is clearly visible crawling up her left arm. In between her hands, suspended in mid-air is a glowing insigna that resembles the Egyptian All Seeing Eye. Her clothing that can be seen is just a simple black tank top, with thick straps.
PAGE ONE: No panels. The background of the entire picture is black. Across the top, small pictures of the members of the Shadow Clan, with their names across the top, and a incredibly short summary of their powers below as follows,
KAT – Animal shapeshifter, healing factor. ARMOK – Hellfire and necromancy. KARI – Shadow control/teleportation, telepathy. ASSASSIN – Human. AFR – Dead. HAWK – Healer. ROSE – Telepath, telekinetic. BRINK – Teleporter.
Below this is a piece of splash art of Rose, lying in a bed, nearly identical to the last page of the first comic. Below the picture is the introduction.
INTRO: “It's the end of the world as we know it...
In a matter of minutes, the SHADOW CLAN and their life was turned upside down. They just don't know it yet.
Rose, the red haired witch of the Shadow Clan, has been attacked. Nobody knows why, or how, but she is now in the infirmary, and not breathing on her own. The tattoo crawling up her arm seems to have expanded. And everybody knows she hasn't gotten any new inkwork done. This is not a coicidence.
Hawk, the healer, can't figure out what's wrong with her. With no leads, and nothing else to do, the Clan is stuck like sitting ducks, waiting for something, something to give them a lead.
That something is approaching a lot faster than they think it is.
...And we feel fine.”
PAGE TWO: Divided into three panels. One large one, taking up half the page on top, and two smaller horizontal ones at the bottom.
PANEL ONE: Zoomed out, from a high angle POV shot of a dark room. The door is open, letting light into it, and is located on the far right. There is one figure in the room, sitting at a table. From above, it looks as though the room is a kitchen, complete with fridge, sink and an island in the middle, the table at which the figure is located is at the bottom of the panel. A small box next to the figure identifies it as KAT, who has her knees pulled up to her chest, and her chin resting on them. In the upper left hand corner, there is a box with the words “One week ago, Shadow Clan base kitchen, Darkmoor, Europe.”
Kat voice over: “It's hard watching your friends get hurt. I don't mind myself getting hurt so much, I can fix myself.”
PANEL TWO: Same shot as before, but narrower, with more focus on the figure at the table, and the shadow now in the doorway. Kat voice over: “But that feeling of helplessness...I can't deal with that...”
Brink: “Hey.”
Kat: “Hi.”
PANEL THREE: POV is the same angle as before, except closer, showing only Kat and a figure pulling a chair out, apparently to sit on, right beside her. You can't see the rest of the kitchen in this shot.
Kat voice over: “Anything but that.”
Brink: “How's she doing?”
Kat: “Nobody knows.”
PAGE THRE: Four vertical panels, taking up the top half of the page, one large panel taking up the bottom half.
PANEL ONE: Close up side shot of Kat, her arms still around her knees, and her chin is pressed into her legs, looking wistful in a way. Her hair is no longer pulled back into a fancy knot, and is instead loose around her face, not quite as long as the other girls, the tips grazing her shoulders. Because her hair was up before, we couldn't see it, but there are purple tips on the ends of her hair, just an inch or two long.
Brink: (off panel) “How are you?”
Kat: “I don't know...”
PANEL TWO: Close shot of Brink's head, and shoulder, with part of the kitchen in the background. A caption box by him reads BRINK. Unlike the first time we saw him, he seems to be a normal looking human, with brown hair, and green eyes.
Kat: (off panel) “I just...I feel like I should be doing something, you know?”
Brink: “You shouldn't stress out like this.”
Kat: (off panel) “What would you do if it was your best friend?”
PANEL THREE: Shot switches back to Kat, who has lifted her head off her knees now. There is annoyance clearly present in her face as she looks at Brink, who is off panel.
Brink: (off panel) “Fair enough.”
Kat: “Yeah...Sorry I had to cancel dinner. I know you had reservations and everything...I was even going to wear heels.”
Brink: (off panel) “It's okay Kat. I know that stuff comes up sometimes, I get it. Speaking of which...are you hungry?”
PANEL FOUR: POV switches back to Brink, who is standing up again. We can see him from the chest down, his hand resting on the back of the chair.
Kat: (off panel) “Yeah, a little bit...”
Brink: “Ice cream sound good?”
Kat: (off panel) “Sounds good to me...”
PANEL FIVE: Shot POV is across the table, with Kat in the foreground, and Brink in the background. The lights are still off in the kitchen, making everything very dark, as the only source of light is from the open door. Brink, in the background, has the freezer door pulled open. Kat, in the foreground, has put one leg down on the ground, with one foot still resting on the chair, her arm draped over it. We can see her from the waist up, interuppted by the tabletop.
Brink: “So what are you guys going to do?”
Kat: “We don't know yet...We don't know anything yet. It's kind of weird. Hawk says there isn't anything wrong with her physically, but she's just not responding.”
Brink: “Isn't Rose supposed to be a world class telepath?”
Kat: “Not world class enough apparently.”
PAGE FOUR: One panel on top, taking up 1/3 of the page, two panels on the bottom. The panel on the left takes up 3/4's of the page vertically, while the panel on the right takes up the remaining ¼.
PANEL ONE: POV is the shot pulled out further from the panel before, now with everything above and below the table visible. Kat and Brink appear as sillhouettes. Brink: “What about Kari? Has she tried--”
Kat: “Rose is a world class telepath for a reason. You don't just go tramping through her head whenever you feel like it. Kari said if she broke the mental barriers, Rose could lose her mind.”
Brink: “Eesh. Sorry I asked. Whipped cream on your ice cream?”
PANEL TWO: POV is from the opposite side now, with Brink in the foreground, and Kat in the background. Brink has two bowls of ice cream in front of him on the counter. Kat, in the background, has both her arms resting on the back of the chair, watching him.
Kat: “Of course.”
Brink: “That's my girl.”
PANEL THREE: Back to the original point of view, this time with Kat facing forward again, resting one of her elbows on the table. Brink is in behind her chair, his head cut off by the top of the panel, two bowls of ice cream held in his hands, and something small can be seen ontop of the ice cream held in his left hand.
Brink: “So...This is probably a bad time to ask you a question, isn't it?”
Kat: “Depends on the question.”
Brink: “Oh, well, good then.”
PAGE FIVE: Broken up into four seperate, but equal panels. Across the lower two panels is another, smaller panel, overlayed in the top center of the page.
PANEL ONE: A close up of a hand putting a bowl of ice cream in front of Kat. Neither Brinks, nor Kat's face is visible in this panel. Kat's hand is pulling the spoon out of the bowl.
Brink: “Because it's kind of an important one...”
PANEL TWO: A shot of Kat's face, looking down at her ice cream, an expression of surprise or shock on her features, the spoon clattering to the table with a small THUNK.
Brink: “And I was going to do it the old fashioned Earth way, with champange and stuff...” PANEL THREE: A shot of Brink, from the shoulders up, his hand behind his head as he rubs the back of his neck, looking sheepish.
Brink: “But those plans got vetoed, so I'm flying by the seat of my pants right now.” PANEL FOUR: POV is from behind Brink. His shoulder is clearly sillouetted in the panel, and you can see Kat over it, looking up at him with one hand clapped over her mouth.
Brink: “But it's important anyways, because I really kind of love you, in a weird let's-be-violent-together kind of way...and...I guess I should stop explaining and ask, right?”
PANEL FIVE: This panel is the panel in the middle, overlayed over the other ones. It's a close up shot of the ice cream bowl, from a 30 or so degree angle. Ontop of the whipped cream on the ice cream, is a diamond ring, clearly visible, and the same one that Kat was pictured with in the first book.
Brink: “...Will you marry me?”
PAGE SIX: Divided into five panels. The first panel is a long horizontal one, across the top. There are three, equally sized panels through the middle third of the page, and at the bottom, there is another long panel.
PANEL ONE: Sudden change of scenery. This panel has a far off shot of Rose, still lying in the infirmary bed, having not moved at all since we last saw her. The caption at the top reads “Infirmary, Shadow Clan base, Darkmoor, Europe” and there is a box beside Rose, that reads “ROSE”.
No dialouge
PANEL TWO: This shot is a shot of Rose's arm, and the black tattoo that is crawling up it. Her arm is resting beside her on the bed, ontop of the covers.
No dialouge.
PANEL THREE: A closer shot of Rose's arm, focusing on the tattoo, specifically one area where there is a closed eye, much resembling the All Seeing Eye from Egyptian Mythology. It seems to have a vague white glow around it.
No dialouge.
PANEL FOUR: The same POV as before, except that this time, the eye is open. The white glow around the eye is defintely viewable now, and very solid.
No dialouge
PANEL FIVE: No discernable POV. A large explosion has just occured, with a THOOOM sound, taking up the entire panel.
PAGE SEVEN: Three horizontal panels, 1/3 of a page each. The bottom panel is divided again, a small square on the right hand side.
PANEL ONE: Everyone is seen from the shoulders up. Armok, Kari, AFR and Assassin all turning and looking behind them. A mingled look of shock and surprise are spread about all their expressions. A THOOM sound effect is seen at the bottom of the panel.
No dialouge.
PANEL TWO: Kat and Brink, shown from behind, are both standing, entwined in each other. They were apparently kissing before looking towards the door, the same THOOM sound effect echoing across the bottom of this panel.
No dialouge.
PANEL THREE: A birds eye POV shot from above, looking down. Rose is lying in the center of a large crater, destruction raidiating outwards from it. She seems to be untouched, but in the left hand corner, we can see some feet coming into the panel. Rose has blasted her bed away, leaving her in the hospital gown she was put in. Her eyes are still closed in this panel, but the white light that was seen surrounding her tattoo a few panels before is now outlining her entire body.
No dialouge.
PANEL FOUR: Very close up on Rose's eye, now wide open. Her irises are red in colour, and there is a tear lining the lower lid.
Rose: “NO!”
PAGE EIGHT: Divided in half.
PANEL ONE: A long shot down a large, well lit, metal hallway. At the end of the hallway, barreling down it with Armok in the lead, followed by Assassin, then AFR. Kari is nowhere to be seen. A box in the upper right corner identifies this place as the Infirmary hallway. This is also evidenced by the smoke present in the air, partially obscuring the right half of the page.
No dialouge.
PANEL TWO: A shot from above in the kitchen. There is one figure running towards the door, clearly identified as Kat, because she has now sprouted a tail, and a pair of ears. The other figure, whom hasn't moved yet, is Brink, looking after her. This is also labeled as the kitchen in upper left hand corner.
PAGE NINE: One large page, no seperate panels.
PANEL ONE: POV is zoomed out, showing much more of the infirmary than before. The room is entirely burned out, with scorch marks everywhere. Hawk is now fully seen, lying on the ground, near the end of where Rose's bed used to be. Rose is exactly where she was before, the white glow still present. The group running down the hallway is seen standing in the smoking doorway, surveying the wreckage. Kari is see, to the very right of the infirmary doors, halfway in and out of a particularly dark shadowy spot on the walls.
Armok: “Kari, get Hawk, jumpstart her own healing. AFR, secure the perimeter, get us into lockdown. Nothing goes in or out. Asassin, you stay with me. And nobody...nobody, touch Rose. Until we know what's going on, you are to stay away from physical contact, and that's an order.”
PAGE TEN: Divided into three horizontal panels again.
PANEL ONE: POV is set on an angle, focusing on Kat barreling down teh same hallway that everyone else had just passed through, Brink behind her by a few paces.
Armok: (off panel) “Move out people, we don't have any time to lose.”
PANEL TWO: POV is set right across from the open infirmary door. AFR is stepping out, and as he does this, Kat runs into him, with an OOF.
AFR: “Kat! What took you so long?”
PANEL THREE: Shot from inside the doorway. Kat is looking inside the decimated room, craning her neck to see over AFR's shoulder. Brink is visible, with a not happy expression on his face.
Kat: “I was busy getting engaged. What happened?!”
PAGE ELEVEN: Divided into four panels. One long horizontal panel on top, two panels in the middle, and another panel on the bottom. The panels in the middle are not divided equally, with the right hand panel taking up 2/3s of the space.
PANEL ONE: POV is from behind Kari, looking towards the door. Her mouth is open in shock, and she is facing the door, looking over her shoulder. Kat is framed by the light in the door, as is Brink, who is now looking over her shoulder. Brink seems interested in inspecting the destroyed room, while Kat is looking at Kari with an annoyed expression.
Kari: “You got engaged?!”
Kat: “Yes.”
Kari: “To him?!”
Brink: “I'm right here ya know.”
Kat: “No, to the crazy knife wielding neighbour, who did you expect?”
Kari: “No need for sarcasm.”
Kat: “No need to sound so surprised.”
PANEL TWO: Far off shot, looking down on Kat and Kari from above. Kari has lifted Hawk into her arms bridal style, while Kat is standing with her hands on her hips.
Kat: “Is anyone planning on telling me what happened here and why the hell Rose is glowing?”
Kari: “We don't know.”
Kat: “Why do we never know?”
PANEL THREE: POV is much the same as before, except now Brink is in the room. Kat and Kari are both looking around the room, in shock, and there is text across the bottom stating ALARM over and over again. Something has apparently triggered the Base alarm.
Kari: “What now?”
Kat: “Someone's trying to steal my thunder.”
PANEL FOUR: The scene switches to out in the hallway again, looking straight down it. There is a burst of fire shooting out the doorway, with a THOOM and the vaguely humanoid figure of Kat inside of it, hitting the opposite wall, engulfed by the flames.
Kat: “AHHHHHH!”
Brink: (off panel) “KAT!”
PAGE TWELVE: No panels, just one page.
PANEL ONE: POV is a birds eye view of the infirmary, now scorched for the second time. A human figure is standing over Rose. He is tall, with jet black hair, and red eyes. He is grinning manaically, and in his hands is a dagger with a wicked curved blade.
Lucifer: “About time you called Prophet, I was beginning to get worried.”

THREE OUT OF FIVE HOMG<3
------ THE SHADOW CLAN “APOCALYPSE NOW” book three of five
COVER:
PAGE ONE: No panels. The background of the entire picture is black. Across the top, small pictures of the members of the Shadow Clan, with their names across the top, and a incredibly short summary of their powers below as follows,
KAT – Animal shapeshifter, healing factor. ARMOK – Hellfire and necromancy. KARI – Shadow control/teleportation, telepathy. ASSASSIN – Human. AFR – Dead. HAWK – Healer. ROSE – Telepath, telekinetic. BRINK – Teleporter.
Below this is a piece of splash art of Lucifer, his head thrown back, apparently laughing in a crazed way. Below this is the introduction.
INTRO: “It's the end of the world as we know it...
The SHADOW CLAN isn't as invincible as they would like to think...
Rose awoke from her slumber, at around the same time Kat and Brink took a huge step forward in their relationship. Kat got a ring. Rose destroyed the infirmary.
Everyone rushed into the infirmary hallway, and Armok barked out orders while he assessed the situation. AFR was to secure the premises, while Kari was to jump start Hawk's healing, as she had been caught in the blast.
But somehow, whatever defenses that were put up, weren't enough. A being named Lucifer appeared in the infirmary, next to Rose. The blast he caused seared through Kat, while Brink and Kari both 'ported to safety using their respective powers. Lucifer called Rose his “prophet”.
His prophet of what remains to be seen, although none of this could possibly bode well for the Shadow Clan...
...And we feel fine.” PAGE TWO: No seperate panels.
PANEL ONE: A top-down view of Kat, curled up on the floor in the fetal position, looking very badly burned. Her clothes are partially singed away, and her skin looks very red and raw.
Kat: “Uuuuuuhhh...”
PAGE THREE: One tall vertical panel on the very left, taking up ¼ of the page, with three squat horizontal panels stacked on top of each other taking up the remaining ¾.
PANEL ONE: POV is as though sitting on the floor. Kat is still visible, and Kari is also visible, halfway in and out of the wall, still holding Hawk in her arms. Her eyes are wide as she looks at Kat on the floor.
Kari: “Kat! Oh Jesus...”
PANEL TWO: A shot inside the door, looking at Lucifer, who stands with a hand on his chin, frowning. Rose is still lying at his feet, her eyes wide open, although she still has not moved.
Lucifer: “Oh dear, dear, dear, perhaps I should've warned ahead of time? Of course, I thought you would've got the message, what with young Rosette here going catonic and all.”
PANEL THREE: Same POV as before. Lucifer is shrugging instead of looking mock sad, the crazy grin returning to his face.
Lucifer: “Ah well. You win some, you lose some, isn't that right Rosette?...Silly girl, what are you still doing there on the floor? Get up, get up, we have work to do!”
PANEL FOUR: Lucifer has seized Rose by the arm in this panel, and has pulled her to a standing position. She still looks out of it, and slumps in his grip, although her face has a horrified expression on it.
Lucifer: “That's a girl, you'll be fine in a few minutes, won't you? Very good, very good. Shall we be off then?”
PAGE FOUR: Divided into six horizontal panels of equal length.
PANEL ONE: Lucifer looks down with a shocked expression on his face, letting go of Rose, who is in the process of slumping down to the floor again. Fire is crawling up Lucifer's legs, although the fire is black and crimson, very much unlike normal fire. Lucifer: “What―Hellfire? What trickery is this?!”
Armok: (off panel) “You've never heard of the old saying? 'Fight fire, with fire.' Or hellfire, in this case.”
PANEL TWO: Another top down view of Kat, curled up on the floor. This time, there are people with her. On the floor beside her lies Hawk, looking sooty, but fine besides that. Kneeling over Hawk is Kari, shaking her by the shoulders. Brink is kneeling beside Kat. We cannot see Kari`s or Brink`s expression, although Kat`s face is twisted into a mask of pain. Some of the skin has visibly healed, but much of it is still raw.
Kat: “Uhhhnn...”
Kari: “Come on Hawk, come on, wake up, we need you.”
Brink: “Kat, hold on, Hawk will be awake any minute, just hold on.”
PANEL THREE: Side shot POV of Lucifer and Armok, staring each other down. Lucifer looks annoyed, while Armok looks furious. AFR is at Armok's elbow, one hand reaching inside his jacket. Rose is crumpled on the ground beside Lucifer.
Lucifer: “Don't play with me boy, you're nothing compared to me. With the prophet on my side, I imagine I'll be nigh unstoppable soon. You'd best let me be on your way, I'd hate to have to destroy some more of your quaint little house.”
Armok: “You overestimate yourself, and underestimate everyone else, Rose included.
PANEL FOUR: POV switches back to Kat in the hallway. All of the skin around her face has healed back up to normal looking, and patches of skin on her body are beginning to be normal again. Kari is still shaking Hawk, and Brink is still kneeling beside Kat. Hawk has her eyes open, just a little, looking confused.
Kari: “Hawk...HAWK!”
Hawk: “Huh? What's goin' on in here?”
Kari: “Fix Kat. Now.”
Hawk: “Well ya could ask nicely...”
Brink: “Hawk!”
Hawk: “I'm kiddin', I'm kiddin', Jesus.”
PANEL FIVE: POV back to Armok and Lucifer, facing off.
Lucifer: “I'm the Prince of Darkness my boy, and you're getting on my nerves.”
Armok: “I'm a child of darkness, and you've been distracted.”
PANEL SIX: POV back to Kat. Hawk is now kneeling over her, in place of Brink, with her hands extended out in front of her. A yellow, glowing energy surrounds her palms as she passes them over Kat, speeding the healing process.
Hawk: “How's dat feel?”
Kat: “Be...better...”
Hawk: “You'll be making a full recovery, don't you worry 'bout dat...”
PAGE FIVE: Divided into three panels. The top two panels are long taking up ¾ of the vertical space. The bottom panel is a long horizontal panel. The left hand panel only takes up ¼ horizontally, with the other panel taking up the remaining ¾.
PANEL ONE: POV from Lucifer's feet, looking upwards. Lucifer's neck is craned backwards. Above his head is Assassin, clearly in mid-jump from the rafters of the infirmary.
Lucifer: “What--!”
PANEL TWO: Assassin smashes the broadside of his sword against Lucifer's head as he falls, adding his momentum to the hit. Lucifer buckles under the pound, and is down on one knee, and his crazy grin is gone, replaced with a look of pain.
Assassin: “Pay more attention.”
PANEL THREE: Top down view of the infirmary. Armok and AFR guarding the door, with Assassin beside Lucifer, his sword held firmly in his grip. Lucifer remains down on one knee, with a collapsed Rose beside him.
Armok: “This is your one and only chance. Hand over Rose, get the hell out of my base, and we won't cut you down, piece by piece.”
Lucifer: “Silly...silly boys...Think it's all a game, don't you?” PAGE SIX: Divided in half. The bottom panel remains intact, while the top panel is divided further into three more smaller panels.
PANEL ONE: We see Lucifer from the shoulders up, focus on his face, although we can't see his expression. He is looking down at the ground, so his face is covered in shadow.
Lucifer: “This is all so much bigger than you imagine.” PANEL TWO: Lucifer is now looking up, and we can see his face. His apparently trademarked grin has resumed it's normal place of honour on his face.
Lucifer: “You can't threaten me...Not when I hold all the power of the world in my hands.”
PANEL THREE: Lucifer's face has now vanished into darkness, leaving behind only his now-glowing eyes and insane smile to see against the blackness.
Lucifer: “Fryd oui ryja luhlaymat, oui crymm palusa!”
PANEL FOUR: The focus shifts to Rose, still lying cumpled on the ground. The tattoo on her arm is now glowing a bright red, and she has both her hands on her head, her eyes squeezed tightly shut, and her mouth open in a scream.
Rose: “AAHHHHHHHHHH!”
PAGE SEVEN: Divided into three panels. The top two are squares, beside each other, taking up 1/3 of the vertical height. The last one takes up the rest of the 2/3 of the height.
PANEL ONE: Lucifer is standing up, and looking down at his suit, which is miraculously still spotless and clean. He is in the process of brushing off some imaginary dirt on his knee, speaking at the same time.
Lucifer: “Well, you have really put us behind schedule, now haven't you? I believe my prophet and myself shall take our leave of you. Many thanks for your gracious hospitality. Prophet, if you please?”
PANEL TWO: Rose stands up, so she is next to Lucifer. Her expression is now blank, and her eyes are unfocused. Her hands are raised up to about chest level, with red energy surrounding them.
Kat: (off panel) “Rose!”
PANEL THREE: POV as if on the floor, looking up at the door, which still has Armok and AFR taking up the majority of the space, Assassin now joining them. Kat is in the middle of vaulting over Armok's shoulder, much to the surprise of the three men.
Kari: (off panel) “Kat, what are you doing?!”
PAGE EIGHT: Divided in half.
PANEL ONE: Kat is in the middle of tackling Rose to the ground. Lucifer beside her looks shocked, almost comically.
Kat: “ROSE! Rose, listen to me!”
PANEL TWO: POV is a sideview, zoomed in on Kat and Rose. Kat has pinned Rose to the ground, and has gotten right up into her face. In the lower right hand corner, acting very much like a picture-in-picture is a shot of Kat's and Rose's eyes meeting, a spark passing between them.
Kat: “Remember who you are! Snap out of it Rose, come on!”
PAGE NINE: Divided into three panels. Two long vertical panels are on top, taking up the top 2/3rds. They are also divided in half. The lower panel takes up the remaining 1/3rd.
PANEL ONE: The same focus as before, although zoomed out a little bit, so you can see Lucifer's legs better, and more of Kat and Rose. A hand has seized Kat by the back of the neck, and is pulling her up, much to her surprise if we are to judge by the expression on her face.
Kat: “What—hey!”
Lucifer: (off panel) “ENOUGH!”
PANEL TWO: Top down view. Kat is hitting the wall opposite Lucifer, which is located to the right of the doorway with a THUD. Lucifer's hand remains extended outwards, as if he had just completed this action.
Lucifer: “You have delayed me and my Prophet long enough!”
PANEL THREE: Side view. Lucifer is on the right, and Armok et al is on the left. Armok looks to be in the process of drawing his great sword from his back, while Lucifer seems to be addressing Rose, who has resumed her standing position.
Lucifer: “Prophet, let us begone from this place. Now.”
Armok: “You shall not have her demon.”
Lucifer: “Oh my, you seem to have an awful case of calling the kettle black, don't you?”
PAGE TEN: Divided into four vertical panels.
PANEL ONE: Close up of Armok, shown from about chest height upwards. His sword is in full swing above his head, and his mouth is open, in what can be assumed to be a roar.
No dialouge.
PANEL TWO: Close up of Lucifer, from about the waist up. His hands are in his pockets, and his sinister smirk is in place. He doesn't seem very concerned about the fact that a giant sword is swinging his way.
Lucifer: “Now, if you please Prophet.”
PANEL THREE: POV goes back to the same as the Armok panel before. This time, Armok is in mid-swing, his hands clutching the hilt of his great sword as he swings it in the direction of Lucifer, entirely with the intention of cleaving his head off his shoulders.
No dialouge.
PANEL FOUR: There is a blank space. The tip of Armok's sword can be seen swinging though a space. Lines indicate that Lucifer and Rose have both been teleported away with a POP.
Armok: (off panel) “NO!”
PAGE ELEVEN: Two square panels along the top, one long horizontal panel across the bottom, another two square panels, and one more horizontal panel.
PANEL ONE: POV close up on Armok. He has his head bowed over his sword, and his eyes closed. His face is twisted into a mask of anger.
Armok: “No!”
PANEL TWO: POV switches to behind Kat, as if set on the ground at her feet, looking up at her, and Armok in the background. We can see her supporting herself against the wall, standing up, with Brink beside her, helping. Armok is glaring at her, both hands still around his sword. Armok: “You jumped in front! I had a clear shot, and you jumped in front! How could you be so stupid?! I can't believe you would do--”
PANEL THREE: Close up on Kat from about the waist up. She is looking down at her feet as she stands up. Brink's arms are around her waist, and she has both her hands on his shoulders, accepting his unspoken offer of help. Her expression remains neutral.
Kat: “I know where she went.”
PANEL FOUR: Close up on Armok's face. He is clearly in the middle of yelling, and has worked himself up into a furious rage.
Armok: “--something like that, we've lost her--”
PANEL FIVE: Same close up of Armok's face, except with a drastically altered expression. He has gone from filled with rage, to shellshocked.
Armok: “--Huh?”
PANEL SIX: Same shot of Kat as before, except this time, she is looking up. She has an arrogant looking smirk on her face, although her arms are still resting on Brink for support.
Kat: “I know where she is.”
PAGE TWELVE: No panels.
PANEL ONE: A tall shot of Lucifer and Rose. We can see all of them, from the feet to their heads. The background behind them is black. Lucifer has his hands in his pockets, standing in an nonchalant manner. His insidious smile is on his face, and his eyes are glowing a dark red. Rose is standing behind him, straight as a rod, her arms rigidly at her sides. She is staring straight ahead, her eyes not focused on anything.
Lucifer: “So Prophet...Shall we begin?”

THE SHADOW CLAN “APOCALYPSE NOW” book four of five
COVER:
PAGE ONE: No panels. The background of the entire picture is black. Across the top, small pictures of the members of the Shadow Clan, with their names across the top, and a incredibly short summary of their powers below as follows,
KAT – Animal shapeshifter, healing factor. ARMOK – Hellfire and necromancy. KARI – Shadow control/teleportation, telepathy. ASSASSIN – Human. AFR – Dead. HAWK – Healer. ROSE – Telepath, telekinetic. BRINK – Teleporter.
Below this is a piece of splash art of Kat, focused on her face, which has a smirk on it. Below this is the introduction.
INTRO: “It's the end of the world as we know it...
Sometimes, despite having all the connections, the SHADOW CLAN just doesn't have the answers.
This is one of those times. Lucifer has made off with Rose, his Prophet, right out from under the Clan's nose. For what purpose, nobody knows. They seem to be stuck in the dark on this issue, ironically enough.
Rose seems to have been brainwashed by Lucifer with just a few words. And yet, when Kat tackled her, she freed her mind long enough to telepathically communicate her next location into Kat's mind. It seems that Lucifer doesn't have as much control as he thinks.
But is it enough?
...And we feel fine.”
PAGE TWO: Divided up into three panels across the top, one horizontal panel, and two more square panels across the bottom.
PANEL ONE: Shows Brink and Kat walking beside each other. Kat is still in possession of her tail, ears, and claws, while Brink is in his hulking green alien form. Kat has an apethic expression on her face, while Brink looks outright miserable.
Brink: “I hate walking around like this...”
Kat: “I know baby, but with the long distance teleporting...”
Brink: “Yeah, I know. I still hate it.”
PANEL TWO: Show Kat and Brink side by side, from the waist up. Brink is still looking dejectedly at his shoes, while Kat's attention has suddenly been caught by something to her right, her ears pricking forwards.
Brink: “You think I should work on looking human and teleporting?”
Kat: “Shhh.”
PANEL THREE: POV over Kat's shoulder, in the direction that she's looking. A low HUM is coming from that direction.
Kat: “I think we're close.”
Brink: “Should we tell the others?”
Kat: “Yeah...I guess...”
PANEL FOUR: Show Kat and Brink side by side again, once more from the waist up. Brink is watching Kat, who has both her hands pressed to her temples. Kat's telepathic thoughts appear in a bubble coloured with a purple gradient, much like her voice over boxes. Kari's thoughts appear with a gray gradient.
Kat: (telepathically) “Hello? Kari? Can you hear me? I hate doing this, I can never tell if it's on or not...”
Kari: (off panel, telepathically) “I can hear you. Got something?”
Kat: (telepathically) “We think we found them.”
Kari: (off panel, telepathically) “I'll alert the others.”
Kat: (telepathically) “We're checking it out in the meantime.”
Kari: (off panel, telepathically) “What? By yourselves? Kat, you can't--”
PANEL FIVE: Kat has removed her hands from her temples, effectively cutting Kari off in the middle of her sentence. There is a hardened expression on her face. Brink looks at her, interested in the reply she recieved.
Kat: “We're good to go.”
PAGE THREE: Divided into four horizontal panels.
PANEL ONE: Kari is show from afar. She has one hand on a rock, and is vaulting herself over it, a look of concentration upon her face. Her telepathic speech bubbles have a gray gradient, and Armok's have a crimson one.
Kari: (telepathically) “Armok?”
Armok: (off panel, telepathically) “Any leads?”
Kari: (telepathically) “Kat thinks she has one. Can you grab Assassin and Hawk and meet us there?”
PANEL TWO: Armok is shown in the middle of swinging his great sword through a demon's midsection. Beside him, on his left, is Hawk, in the few seconds after having loosed an arrow from her bow. On his right is Assassin, on the defensive, as a demon with an axe bears down on him.
Armok: (telpathically) “Way ahead of you. Send us the coordinates, and we'll be there as fast as possible.”
Kari: (off panel, telepathically) “Roger.”
PANEL THREE: Kari is show entirely, from the feet up, crouched on a rock. Her eyes are narrowed as she looks into the distance, torn between concentration and conversation. AFR is at the very far left of the panel, just stepping into the view.
Kari: “AFR, we have coordinates.”
AFR: “Lead the way Kari.”
PANEL FOUR: Focus goes back to Armok, looking morbidly cheerful as he stands over the corpse of a demon. Hawk has her bow strung, but pointed towards the ground, as there is nothing left to shoot out. Assassin, on Armok's otherside, still looks wary, as though expecting a sneak attack.
Armok: “Looks like we have a plan lady and gentleman.” Assassin: “As you say.”
PAGE FOUR: Top panel takes up ¾ of the page, lower half is divided in half, taking up the remaining room.
PANEL ONE: Kat and Brink stand at the entrance of an enormous temple of some kind, built into the side of a mountain. Both of them are looking up at the top of the massive arch, towering above their heads.
Kat: “...Wow.”
Brink: “Somebody had a lot of time on their hands.”
PANEL TWO: Shown as if inside the giant cathedral like building. The large swatch of light granted by the entrance is the only source of light in the entire building. Kat's shadow has taken a few steps forward, further into the building than Brink.
Brink: “Where are you going?”
Kat: “Inside. Where else? Rose is down there, I know it.”
Brink: “Shouldn't we wait for everybody else?”
Kat: “By the time everybody else gets here, we could be dead.”
Brink: “Oh, well don't we have a little optomist on our hands.”
PANEL THREE: Same point of view as before. Kat is further into the building this time than she was before, close to the edge of where the light ends, and the darkness of the place begins.
Kat: “Fine, wait here. But my best friend is in here somewhere, and I'm going to go save her. With or without anybody else.”
Brink: “We also seem to have a bit of insanity on our hands too. You can't take these people on by yourself Kat, that's crazy.”
Kat: “I've been called worse.”
PAGE FIVE: Divided into three panels, one horizontal one across the top, and two long vertical ones below it.
PANEL ONE: Kat is mostly in the dark part of the building now, only her tail still visible in the light patch.
Brink: “Kat...Kat! Oh come on, you don't really think I'm going to let you go down there by yourself, do you?”
Kat: “Then catch up already!”
Brink: “Well, I was thinking more along the lines of not letting you go down at all...”
Kat: “Haha. You're funny. Hurry up.”
PANEL TWO: The second panel shows Kat completely disappeared out of the light offered by the cathedral door, and Brink hot on her heels, a few seconds away from being swallowed by the darkness himself.
Brink: “We're going to regret this, I know it...”
Kat: “It's just a little bit of darkness. Give my eyes a moment to adjust, and we'll be fine.”
PANEL THREE: Nothing, only speech bubbles.
Brink: “...Can you see anything?”
Kat: “Can't see much when there's nothing to see.”
PAGE SIX & SEVEN: Two page spread, no panels.
PANEL ONE: The POV is over Kat and Brink's shoulders. They're located in the bottom left corner of the page. It seems that they are standing on a ledge, looking down at the goings on below. Below them is a chamber of massive proportions. On a raised platform in the middle is Rose, still looking blank and unresponsive, weighed down by heavy chains. On the the floor before the platform is Lucifer, looking extremly pleased with himself. There is a multitude of demons surrounding the platform. There are torches burning everywhere, lending light to the otherwise pitch black chamber.
Kat: “...I take it back.”
PAGE EIGHT: Two short panels across the top, with one long horizontal panel, then two more short squares.
PANEL ONE: A side shot of the giant Cathedral door. Kari is crouched outside it, looking into the entrance. AFR is behind her, now holding one sword, and resting it on his shoulder, with his other hand in his pocket.
No dialouge.
PANEL TWO: The shot is still from the same point of view as the other one. Kari and AFR are in the same positions as before, but now they are joined by three other people. The hulking form of Armok, the delicate shape of Hawk and the lean Assassin.
No dialouge.
PANEL THREE: POV changes to inside the cathedral, and the shadows cast by all of the Shadow Clan members gathered outside.
Kari: (off panel) “This is where they went in.”
Armok: (off panel) “Are you sure?”
AFR: (off panel) “We saw them from a distance, they went in right here.”
PANEL FOUR: POV stays the same as the former panel. All five Clan members are now inside the cathedral, seemingly running towards the dark shadows.
Armok: “Alright then...”
PANEL FIVE: Entirely black panel, except for the speech bubble.
Armok: (off panel) “Down the rabbit hole we go.”
PAGE NINE: Divided into four parts. There is one larger panel on top, taking up 2/3rds of the page, and three smaller panels below it.
PANEL ONE: Shot of Kat and Brink head on from the chest up, both of their faces highlighted by the burning torches. Both of them are looking down at the scene before them.
Brink: “...What now?”
PANEL TWO: Close up of Rose's chained hands. The tattoo on her left arm has a faint glow around it again. The words in the speech bubble are colour coded. Kat has purple, and Brink has green.
Kat: (off panel) “We've got the element of surprise on our side.”
Brink: (off panel) “You're not...serious, are you?”
PANEL THREE: A close shot of Lucifer's face. He is grinning in what seems like glee, rubbing his hands together. A demon is flanking him on either side, but he doesn't seem very bothered.
Kat: (off panel) “On the count of three.”
Brink: (off panel) “Are you even listening to me?!”
PANEL FOUR: A closer look at the platform that Rose is standing on. We can see Rose's bare feet, but the focus of the panel is on the strange drawings and markings around the edge.
Kat: (off panel) “No.”
PAGE TEN: Divided into six panels of equal size.
PANEL ONE: A far shot of Rose and Lucifer at her feet. The etchings around the platform are glowing even brighter, as well as her tattoo. Kat's off panel voice is centered between the two panels, suggesting they are happening simultaneously.
Lucifer: “So close, we are so close my little Prophet!”
Kat: (off panel) “One.”
PANEL TWO: A dark shot of Kari leading the Clan through the dark tunnels, as she can see the best. The barest hint of torchlight can be seen on their face, suggesting that they are approaching the chamber, right on Kat and Brink's heels.
PANEL THREE: The shot shifts back to Lucifer, in much the same POV and position as before, except he is now holding a book in his hands, holding a finger to it, as if trying to find the correct paragraph. As before, Kat's off panel voice is centered between the two panels.
Lucifer: “Soon we will have hell on Earth. Ah, sounds like paradise, doesn't it?”
Kat: “Two.”
PANEL FOUR: There is a brightening of the light on the faces of the rest of the Clan. Armok is now in the lead, with Kari having fallen back to his right. His great sword is out, held in front of him. The other weapons of the Clan seem to be present as well.
PANEL FIVE: Lucifer is in the same position as before, but is now reading directly from the book, supporting it with both his hands. The glowing of Rose's tattoo and the platform sigals is brighter than ever.
Lucifer: “Ubah caycysa!”
PANEL SIX: The view of the clan suddenly shifts to the otherside of the door, as they come launching out of the dark hallway into the lighted chamber. Armok has his sword held high over his head, roaring in anger.
Armok: “YOU! Your head is mine, you--”
PAGE ELEVEN: No seperate panels.
PANEL ONE: A bright red light bursts outwards from Rose. The members of the clan all have their hands or arms thrown over their faces, while Lucifer stares straight at it with a wild grin on his face.
No dialouge.
PAGE TWELEVE: No seperate panels.
PANEL ONE: The clan's view from the ledge. The chamber is suddenly filled to the brim with demons, almost all of them identical to the ones seen in the first book. Rose is on her knees, smoke rising off of her. Lucifer can be seen, just over the edge of the ledge, his head thrown back.
Lucifer: “Haha Shadow Clan! Feeling up to a fight now?!”

THE SHADOW CLAN “APOCALYPSE NOW” book five of five
COVER:
PAGE ONE: No panels. The background of the entire picture is black. Across the top, small pictures of the members of the Shadow Clan, with their names across the top, and a incredibly short summary of their powers below as follows,
KAT – Animal shapeshifter, healing factor. ARMOK – Hellfire and necromancy. KARI – Shadow control/teleportation, telepathy. ASSASSIN – Human. AFR – Dead. HAWK – Healer. ROSE – Telepath, telekinetic. BRINK – Teleporter.
Below this is a piece of splash art of Rose's tattoos, glowing a bright red. The introduction/summary comes next.
INTRO: “It's the end of the world as we know it...
So the plan is unveiled. Unleash hell on Earth, literally. Rose is the key to the portal, due to the demon she has inhabiting her soul, hence her being the “Prophet”, a Prophet of death. A rift between Earth and hell has been torn open.
What can the Shadow Clan do? They may be smarter, and better trained, but quantity can overcome quality. They'll get tired, but the fiends will keep on coming. A solution doesn't seem anywhere in sight, and the light at the end of the tunnel seems farther away than ever before.
When all hope is lost, where do you turn? The same place you always have.
Inwards.
...And we feel fine.”
PAGE TWO: Divided into three horizontal panels.
PANEL ONE: Shot of Hawk and Assassin. We can only see Assassin from the chest up, and Hawk is above him on a ledge. Both are using their respective weaponry to assist them in defending themselves and each other.
Kat voice over: “So there it is. The lead up to the most hardest fight of my life. Probably everyone elses too. It's funny how fast things can turn around, isn't it?”
PANEL TWO: A shot of Armok, slicing his sword sideways, through the demon in front of him, heedless of the gore that this causes.
Kat voice over: “I never thought I'd get engaged and then spent the rest of the night trying to save the world.”
PANEL THREE: Focus on AFR. He is facing off against the same demon that we first saw him against in the first book. His mouth is open in a yell, and it seems like he is charging the much larger demon.
Kat voice over: “But I don't think any of us saw this coming...Well, maybe Rose. But it's a little late to ask her now, isn't it?”
PAGE THREE: Divided into three horizontal more panels.
PANEL ONE: The focus is on Kari, from the side. She has just stabbed a demon with both her swords at the same time, looking fierce as she does so, an angry expression on her face.
No dialouge.
PANEL TWO: POV switched back to Armok, the tip of his sword resting on the ground for a moment. He looks tired at the moment, and there is a cut on his forehead that is bleeding.
Armok: “Hikari! Where's Kat? We need all the help we can get here.”
PANEL THREE: Attention switches back to Kari from a side view who has reversed her sword grip and shoved it backwards, catching a demon behind her in the chest.
Kari: “She went off looking for Brink. I'll go find her. You guys get to Rose, and fast! The rift is only getting wider!”
PAGE FOUR: Three panels across the top, one large panel beneath.
PANEL ONE: A shot of Kat, very much reminiscient of the first shot in the first book of her.
No dialouge.
PANEL TWO: Attention changes back to Armok, who heaves his great sword again, cutting it in a wide arch around his body to form a pile of corpses around him as his blade cuts through demons. Assassin: (off panel) “Armok!”
Armok: “A little busy at the moment!”
Assassin: “He's over there!”
PANEL THREE: Armok's attention shifts from the pile around him, to over his shoulder. He can see Lucifer at the very corners of his vision. Lucifer is still grinning in his maniacal way, seemingly pleased that his plan is working out so well.
Armok: “He's mine!”
PANEL FOUR: The POV switches back to Kat and Brink, entering the fray again from the sidelines. Brink is using his tail to slice through a demon that has approached him from the side, while Kat is crouched, in the act of launching herself. They are apparently re-entering the battle after the side conversation that they had that occured in the first pages of book one.
No dialouge.
PAGE FIVE: Four horizontal panels.
PANEL ONE: Focus on Kat, who is now in mid-leap. POV is from below, looking up ta her as she flies overhead.
No dialouge.
PANEL TWO: POV is from the side, looking at Kat's claws as they hit the head of a demon, and she again uses them to propell herself upwards.
No dialouge.
PANEL THREE: Close up shot of her claws digging into the top of the raised platform with the glowing sigals.
No dialouge.
PANEL FOUR: Zoomed out shot of Kat clutching the edge of the platform that Rose is standing on. We can see that Rose is now pulling back against the chains, her mouth open in a scream.
No dialouge.
PAGE SIX: Divided into 5 panels. One tall vertical panel on the left hand side, and four square panels going down the right side. PANEL ONE: Show Kat stretching her arm out, getting a better grip on the stone, with one leg over the edge, pulling herself up, much like one would pull themselves out of a pool.
No dialouge.
PANEL TWO: Kat is down on one knee, with both her hands resting on her other one, in the process of of pushing herself up onto her own two feet.
Kat: “Rose...Rose, can you hear me?”
PANEL THREE: Attention switches to Lucifer, with his head thrown back, laughing. We see him from the side, as a sillouette.
Lucifer: “It's too late now girl, you can't save her--”
PANEL FOUR: The silloutte suddenly changes, as a sword is thrust through it from behind. Lucifer's laughter stop mid-laugh, and his back arches in the opposite direction.
Lucifer: “--urk!”
Armok: (off panel) “You should really learn to pay attention.”
PANEL FIVE: Side view. Rose and Kat are face to face, although Rose is not focused on Kat's face. Kat however, has her hands on Rose's shoulders, seemingly shaking her.
Kat: “Rose, listen to me! Listen to me, I know you're in there!”
PAGE SEVEN: One long horizontal panel on top, two square panels beneath, then two more horizontal panels.
PANEL ONE: Rose and Kat are sillouetted against the barren backdrop. Kat's hands are still extended to Rose's shoulder, but there is no sign of recognition from Rose.
Kat: “Rose...Rose, damn it, I don't want to have to do this.”
PANEL TWO: Still sillouetted, it can clearly be seen that Kat has raised her arm.
Kat: “Don't make me...”
PANEL THREE: Kat and Rose are still sillouetted. Kat looks like she has just swiped her claws across Rose's face, her other hand still on her friend's shoulder. Rose: “Huurk...”
Kat: “Rose, listen to me! You can do this, you can fix this!”
Rose: “Kat...Kat, you listen to me...”
PANEL FOUR: POV is over Kat's shoulder, looking at Rose's face. Rose's red eyes are clearly focused on Kat's face, although she is bleeding from five claw marks right across her face.
Rose: “You have to kill me.”
PANEL FIVE: POV switches to over Rose's shoulder, focused on her face. The expression on Kat's face is horrified.
Kat: “Kill you?! ...Rose, don't ask me that.”
PAGE EIGHT: Page is divided up into four vertical panels on the top, and four vertical panels on the bottom.
PANEL ONE: A close up shot of Rose’s face. Her eyes are closed now, and there are tears streaming down her face.
Rose: “You have too! This rift won’t close unless I’m dead!”
Kat: (off panel) “Rose...please...”
PANEL TWO: A shot of Kat’s face. She also has tears falling down her face as she speaks.
Kat: “...I hate you. I hate you for this.”
Rose: (off panel) “I know. I’d hate you too.”
PANEL THREE: Far off shot, a birds eye view of Kat and Rose standing on the platform. Kat has her hand raised in the air again. Rose is standing with her eyes closed, still chained to the platform.
No dialogue.
PANEL FOUR: A sideways shot of both Kat and Rose. Rose has her head back, her eyes closed. Kat’s arm is moving through the air, and her face has an expression of ultimate rage on it, as though furious with her friend. Which she is.
Kat: “ahhhHHHHHH!”
PANEL FIVE: The same POV as the fourth panel, except that Kat and Rose are sillouetted now. Kat has her arm across, in the follow through from a slash. There are spatters of blood coming off of Rose’s neck.
Rose: “Urk.”
PANEL SIX: A shot of Armok looking up, an expression of shock on his face.
Armok: “No!”
PANEL SEVEN: Attention switches to Assassin and Hawk, both of them looking towards the upper right hand corner, where the platform with Rose and Kat on it is apparently located. Hawk looks almost distraught, while Assassin seems to be on the verge of losing his cool.
Hawk: “Rose!”
Assassin: “...” PANEL EIGHT: A shot of Kari and AFR back to back, looking out. Kari seems horrified at something, screaming Rose’s name. AFR has his lips pressed together tightly, in an effort to not follow suit.
Kari: “ROSE!”
PAGE NINE: One panel only. It is centered in the middle of the page, talking up about half the space. The surrounding area is black.
PANEL ONE: The shot is a tall shot of Kat, cradling Rose. Kat’s head and shoulders are barely in the shot, in the upper right hand side, while Rose’s entire body is stretched out across the entire panel. It’s easy to see the slashes on her throat, five of them across the entire thing. Across the top of the panel, on the outside, there is a heart monitor line. At the left, it has one spike, and then is a flat line.
PAGE TEN: Divided up into five panels, three on top and two on the bottom.
PANEL ONE: Scene switches to a place very green. There is a lot of trees and blue sky in the background. Kat is in the foreground, with Brink beside her, his arms on her shoulder. Both of them are wearing black, and have sad expressions on their faces. The words across the top read “Three days later, clearing in the forest beside the base, Darkmoor, Europe.”
No dialogue
PANEL TWO: A shot of Kari, her arms crossed across her chest, looking to her right. Her expression is a forced neutral one. She is also wearing all black, but in more casual clothes than Kat or Brink.
No dialogue.
PANEL THREE: Hawk and Assassin. Hawk has tears falling freely down her face, unlike anybody else at the funeral, and is depending heavily on Assassin for support. Assassin is wearing his normal outfit, except in black instead of brown. He too, seems to have a heavy expression on his face.
No dialogue.
PANEL FOUR: Armok. His expression is set, in a grim sort of way. He is also dressed in black, matching everyone else at the funeral. PANEL FIVE: AFR. His head is bowed. He is still wearing his trench coat, but the clothing underneath is black to match everyone. His hands are clasped in front of him.
PAGE ELEVEN: No panels.
PANEL ONE: Tall shot from above. There is a grave dug out, with a coffin suspended over it. The entire Shadow Clan is gathered around it. Kari and AFR are on either side of the grave stone, with Kat and Brink beside AFR, Armok beside Kari, and Hawk and Assassin standing at the end of the coffin.
Kat voice over: “Rose was my best friend. My best friend. I miss her so much, but I know...I know she died a hero.”
PAGE TWELEVE: The panel takes up about 1/3rd of the space, centered halfway down.
PANEL ONE: A close up of Rose’s grave stone. It’s very simple, with just an inscription. It reads: “Rose Mara Christopher. The light in our darkness, and a hero for all time.”
Kat voice over: “Doesn’t make it any easier for us. I hope it makes it easier for her.”
