Dear New Student, Welcome To Darkmoor Academy. We were pleased to hear that we’d be having a new arrival of students. Darkmoor Academy is known for it’s straightening out of troubled teens. We are here to help you in your journey towards adulthood. We pride ourselves on our academics and curriculum. We are top in our district and release top students. We are located in the beautiful area of Iceland. There is many activities for all students to partake in. We will be awaiting your arrival in the Fall.
Thank you, Headmistress Beatrice Culder.
Blond hair covered up violet eyes of a young Japanese girl. Her head was bowed as she read the paper. “That bastard…” She muttered in Japanese. She clenched her fists and let out a small sob. How could he do this to her? Send her to an academy? She wouldn’t go. She’d rather die than go. Hikari pushed her hair out of her eyes and stood up, walking across the room. She opened a small box. She smiled sadistically to herself and pulled the small needle out. It would all be over soon. A scream erupted from the principal’s office of a school in Norway. A young girl with unnaturally red eyes, was dragged out. “You are not sending me there! Hell fucking no!” She kicked and screamed, throwing a tantrum and drawing attention to herself. Her father restrained her. “Thank you for your time.” He said to the terrified principal as he dragged his daughter out of the school. As soon as he got her out-side he threw her at the wall, turning her around a moment later. “You listen well, you will go to this school and you will behave.” Rose glared. “You assho-“, this earned her a slap across the face. A young man chuckled and crumpled up the paper, tossing it over his shoulder. “They wouldn’t possibly send me to that…thing.” He scoffed and stood, striding out of the living room to find his parents. The young man tossed his red streaked, black hair out of his eyes as he walked. This young man’s name was Armok Everhate. He was the troublemaker of his local private school. His parents were fed up with his continuous ‘shenanigans’. The school had temporarily suspended him for what they called “School Disturbances”. The news wasn’t released to the press. Rain poured down out of the pale gray clouds of London. The heavy rain could be heard almost everywhere except for the courthouse. Two boys sat beside the Defense Council’s table, awaiting his punishment. At the sound of a click, their eyes darted over; the jury was returning with the verdict. “May the jury foreman please rise.” The judge’s voice echoed. The jury foreman rose as did the defendants and their council. “Your verdict?” The judge questioned. “We find the defendants…” There was a small pause. “Guilty on the charge of vandalism and assisting in vandalism.” The boy, Michael Severs looked down. His brother, Steven, sighed, feeling somewhat guilty. The judge looked down at them. “The only choice we have is to send you to a special school.” Papers were handed to the boys. And, after a few moments of reading, Steven ran. A girl stood next to an older boy, holding a piece of paper. Her hands shook slightly as she read it’s contents. “You must be kiddin’ me!” She yelled. The boy next to her merely glanced over at her and shrugged. “Issac!” She shoved the paper in his face. “Yes, Princess?” he asked coolly. “Don’t call me dat!” She shouted and slammed her foot down. “As you say.” He responded with a small eye roll. The girl promptly took off her shoe and began beating him with it. A bit caught off guard, he brought up his arms to defend himself. “And that is what got you into this mess.” He said still calm. Hawk, or so she was called, threw the shoe in frustration. “I don’t wanna go!” She yelled. “Well, you must.” Hawk stomped her foot and stormed out of the room. Issac sighed and followed. Katherine Hatcher sat all of six inches from the front of her tv screen as her mother read her a letter. Kat had been shushing her mother the entire time. “It’s the last game! THE LAST GAME!” she shouted as she flailed her arms. Her mother narrowed her eyes. “Katherine, come here!” Kat growled. “GAH!” She got up and stomped over. It was the last few minutes of the game and she couldn’t watch them! This was going to get frustrating. “Go to your room and pack your bags. You’re leaving tonight.” Kats jaw dropped. “What?! For where?!” She questioned. Her mother sighed. “Darkmoor Academy For Troubled Young Teens.” She said. “Troubled? I’m troubled?!” Kat yelled. “You threatened a teacher! Now go pack your bags!” Kat kicked the wall and turned, going to her room. She never got to see the end of the game. Silence blanketed the room as a small girl sat in a corner, her nose shoved in a book. The ticking of the clock could be heard. She was well immersed in her book when she had been shown the letters. She was trying to get her mind off of it. She wasn’t troubled was she? Sam couldn’t be troubled. Maybe they just didn’t want her here anymore. She let out a small sigh but tried to perk up some. “Maybe it’ll be a wonderful adventure.” She smiled to herself. She didn’t know what else to do. Sam stood up and looked at her bags which she had packed shortly after hearing the letters. “I guess I’ll start out.” She picked them up, folding the book and putting it in one of them. Quite honestly, she was nervous. “AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!” Cutlass yelled as he was being carried by two people towards the train station. “Why are you doing this to meeee?!” He screamed. His parents shook their heads. “Its for the best! You can’t keep disrupting your classes!” Little Cutlass had been disrupting his welding/technician class. He had this thing for Mech Warriors. His obsession got to the point of trying to create a mech in his class. The teacher asked him what it was for. Cutlass muttered something about bullies and continued working. The teacher contacted the principal and now Cutlass was being hauled off to Darkmoor Academy. Oh. He’d have his revenge. Kadaj sat holding his papers, grinning. He lit the papers on fire and dropped them to the ground. “Fuck this shit! There’s no way I’m going to this bullshit!” He watched the fire engulf the papers, finding it completely entertaining. “There’s nothing fucking wrong with me!” He shouted down the hall at his father before walking out the front door. He knew exactly what he was going to go do. He was going to go out and drink and fuck someone. Maybe then it would all be different.

“Welcome to Keflavik International Airport, please have your tickets ready!” A happy voice played over the sound system at the Airport in Iceland. A young girl scowled as she walked past people. “Stupid people with their stupid luggage and running over MY FEET!” She yelled as another person ran over her foot with their suit case. “GAH!” She screamed. Rose was on her way to her connecting flight to a smaller city in Iceland. She didn’t think she’d like it very much. And she kept running into people who really didn’t look all that friendly.
Rose looked down at her ticket. “Alright…So its Gate C…Flig-“ She yelped as she ran into someone. Rose fell flat on her ass, dropping all of her things. “What the hell is your – prob…lem.” She looked up to see a boy standing in a trench coat, amazing eyes. This distracted her for all of two seconds. She shook her head and narrowed her eyes as he held out a hand to help her up. Rose scoffed. “Sorry for bumping into you.” He said. He looked down at her ticket and rose an eyebrow. “My name’s Armok. And it looks like you’re heading to the same place I am…” He held back a chuckle. “And going in the wrong direction.”
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP! The metal detector screeched before Issac could get all the way through it. “Sir, we’ll have to pull you aside.” Issac gave a small sigh and walked over to the side as Hawk passed through. She grinned. “Ya shoulda listened to me Issac.” She grabbed her things off the conveyer belt and waited as security asked Issac to start emptying his pockets. Issac rolled his eyes and started pulling small weapons out of his pockets. He couldn’t exactly help it that he was just a little paranoid. The security guard watched him with wide eyes. He pulled up his walkie-talkie. “Um, we’re going to need some back up.” Issac eyed him carefully. “Can you just send these to me at my school? I really must be going.”
The guard shook his head at Issac. “That’s impossible sir. You just tried carrying weapons on a plane, we’ll have to hold you here.” Hawk looked at him and stomped her foot. “He is coming now!” she yelled. The Security Guard looked at her oddly. “Ma’am, he has to stay.” He replied. Hawk dropped her things and walked over. When she reached him, she poked him in the chest. “Listen mister. Ya let him come with me or I’m goin’ to raise hell in here.” She glared at him, obviously angry that they were going to be late. Issac stifled a laugh at the look on the guards face. The guard, obviously defeated, turned to look at Issac. “Can you right that address down?”
Rose couldn’t help but scowl as she walked. She had refused this guys help, and he was following her now. Ugh. Couldn’t he get the hint? She didn’t want any help. Rose growled as she felt someone run into her. A girl with long brown hair not too much shorter than her. “Watch where you’re going!” She yelled, shoving the girl. “Hey! Dats not nice!” Hawk yelled at her. Issac took a somewhat protective stance as he watched the girls argue a bit. Rose pushed past the girl as she shouted insults at her. “That’s enough, Hawk.” Issac said as he cast a glance at the dark figure following Rose. He wasn’t about to get in a fight over something as petty as this.
Kadaj glared, watching the young girl next to him on his flight not move. He needed to get out to get his bag. “Can you move??” He asked, getting impatient. Kari glared at him. She’d been dealing with this little brat for the past few hours now. He was starting to get annoying. “No.” Kadaj clenched his teeth. “Stupid fucking bitch…” He muttered as he unbuckled himself and stood. “What are you doing?!” She asked. “Shut up.” Kadaj climbed over her, getting hit and smacked the entire time. “Don’t fucking touch me!” He shoved her hands off of him as he started opening the over head bins. Kari glared up at him before turning away.
He couldn’t take this girl anymore. Whatever. She could sit their and be bitchy all she wanted to. Kadaj smirked slightly as he grabbed his bag, accidentally dropping it on Hikari’s head. “Oops. Can you get that for me?” He asked curtly. Hikari was going to try and stay civil. She kicked his bag. “No. Get it yourself.” She growled out. Kadaj sighed and picked up his own bag and turned to get off the plane. Hikari followed him, shoving him lightly as they went along. She really couldn’t wait to get off this plane and away from this brat.
Michael sighed, kicking the non existent dirt on the Airport floor. His brother Steven looked at him curiously. “You going to be alright?” he asked. Michael nodded sadly. “I’ll be fine.” He said in a quiet voice. Steven sighed and crossed his arms. “I’m sorry, alright?” He said, pushing his hair out of his face. “You know I didn’t mean for you to get tangled up in this.” Michael looked up from the ground, eyebrow raised. Steven grinned at him. “Wanna bring a snake on the plane??” He asked. Michael dead panned. “Pranks is what got us here in the first place.” He said.
Steven sighed. “Well you’re no fun.” He pouted. He looked around for someone to focus his attention on. He spotted a girl with choppy blond hair. She had a backpack with the flag of Canada sewed on the back. He grinned. “Michael, you know who I hate?” He asked. Michael blinked. “Who?” He asked, a bit confused. “The Montreal Canadians.” He said loudly. The girl turned around and glared at him. “You looking to start something, smart ass?” Kat glared at him. “No. Just stating the facts that they suck. They suck bad.” Steven said. Michael watched him, eyes a bit wide. “Um. Steven, you probably shouldn’t…” He trailed off. Steven could only laugh. “She’s just a girl! She won’t do any-“ He was promptly cut off as he was nailed in the head with make up bag. Steven promptly fell over, Michael leaning over him with a raised eyebrow.
Sam looked a little nervous as she walked next to a young boy who was ranting and raving. A flight attendant had asked her to keep an eye on him and take him to Gate C, Flight 4522. She had her arms crossed as the boy yelled. “They called me mentally unstable! Can you believe that?! I don’t believe that!” He stomped and yelled and sometimes even threatened to blow things up. It was easy to say that Sam was just a little nervous. Was this how everyone at the Academy would be acting? God she hoped not. That would be just slightly terrifying. She grinned as she approached the gates. Finally.
Everyone eventually reached the gate and all the seats. There was petty glares thrown once the entire group realized that the people they had passed in the halls, were the people who were going to Darkmoor Academy with. “Beautiful. Just beautiful.” Kadaj said as he threw his things into a chair, sitting far from Kari. Rose sat and Armok sat beside her. She didn’t know if she liked this guy. Kat glared at Steven from across the seats and he just grinned back at her. Sam put her head in her hands as Cutlass continued his rant. Issac sighed as he listened to Hawk talk about how Rose’s shoes did not match her outfit and that she might as well go die now.
They all realized very quickly that this was going to be a long year

Do you think it's slightly strange that we know each other all this well we can put down on paper exactly what everyone would do? Personally I think its pretty cool!

When the kids got on the small plane, they made small groups of who was going to be hanging out with whom. Rose found herself sitting with Armok, Kat, and Sam. They sat towards the back of the plane, talking really about nothing. Kat ranted about Steven and how he was annoying little bastard and how the Montreal Canadians were the best hockey team ever. Rose sat with an eyebrow raised, listening some. Sam sat with her arms crossed, somewhat enjoying the conversation. Armok was casting glares towards Steven, almost growling at him for making Kat angry.
The next group sat towards the middle of plane, a bit tight knit. Hikari, Michael, Steven, and Cutlass all sat together. Steven was grinning at Kat and waving at Armok to make him angry. Michael had actually sat down and gotten into a conversation with Hikari. They were discussing why they were both here. It was strange for both of them. And Hikari had a developing crush on Michael. This is going to be an interesting stay… Michael thought to himself with a smile. He’d been smiling the entire time he’d been on the plane. Cutlass suddenly flailed as the plane shifted. “We’re gonna crash!” He screamed. Hikari slapped her hand over his mouth. “Shush you.”
Kadaj had reluctantly sat down with two people who seemed to be complete opposites. Hawk sat and talked like there was no tomorrow. The boy next to her seemed to be a bit irked and bored. He yawned as Hawk looked over at him with a questioning look. “Issac?” No response. “Issac?! Are you even listening to me?!” She yelled, attracting attention from all over the plane. Issac looked away from her with a small smirk. She glared at him. “Issac!” She whined and tugged on his sleeve. He knew she hated being ignored. It made her angry and sad. “Pleeeaaase,” She pleaded with him. He laughed quietly to himself and turned his attention back to her. “Yes?” He said. “Yay!” Hawk yelled, giving him a hug. Kadaj shook his head, occasionally casting glares towards Hikari. These people were weird.
Michael, after an hour or two of listening to Hikari, finally looked out the window. He grinned. “We’re here.” He said as he saw the landing strip not too far off. “Really???” Hawk went flying towards the other side of the plane, causing it to shake. Everyone gripped their seats for a moment. Soon, the plane was landing and the kids were getting their bags. “Thank you for flying with us, hope to see you again soon!” The flight attendant said cheerfully as they all stalked off the plane. As soon as they hit the outside everyone groaned. It was hella cold. “Are you kidding me?” Hikari asked, pulling her hoodie around her.
Rose could only grin. She didn’t much like the cold, but she was used to it. “Du all er stemorsblomster.” You’re all pansies. She said as she strolled past a few of them. Kat nodded, she was from Canada. Cold? Psh. They didn’t know the meaning of cold. Sam was from France and Armok from Ireland. They all knew what cold was. The group headed towards a bus that was waiting for them. Kadaj and Hikari stood next to each other shivering. They both shot each other a glare, then gave up. “It’s too cold to hold grudges,” Kadaj said evenly. Hikari nodded. “Its too cold to have feelings!” The rest grumbled and followed. Issac rose an eyebrow at the bus and a small girl waving at them frantically. “Welcome to Iceland!” She yelled. Cutlass blinked as the girl ran up to him. “I’m Amara!” She said happily holding her hand out. Cutlass shook her hand. “I’m Cutlass!” He said, just as happy as she was. Amara suddenly yanked him forward, through clenched teeth, she spoke. “Save me,” She pleaded quietly. Cutlass made a funny face, looking back at everyone. “Pleeeasse” she asked. Cutlass kinda patted her on the head and released her hand. Amara sighed then brought back her cheery. “Alright! So I’m your welcoming committee along with Mr. Darien!” She blinked and looked around. “Mr. Darien?” Blink blink. “Where’d you go?”
Darien cursed, hiding behind the van. These little hellions gave him the creeps. Sometimes he wondered why he was teaching here. Amara walked around the van and found him. “Oh! There you are Mr. Darien! You must meet the new kids!” She grabbed his hand and pulled him around. He cursed under his breath the entire way. He stood in front of the group and wrung his hands nervously. “Heh Heh….Hello.” He said, nervous as ever. In his mind he was thinking Please don’t eat me ;__;
The students waved at him half heartedly as they crawled into the van. The drive was a short one. There was now. Someone mumbled something about it being Iceland…and that they didn’t like snow. Conversations went on the entire time. After about forty minutes of driving through dense forests and such, a castle like structure shown. “Is that the school??” Sam asked Amara. Amara nodded. “Yep! Welcome to Darkmoor Academy!”

After the students had gotten out of the van, they were quickly escorted inside the building. “Why does it have to be so cold?” Hawk asked, shivering. Issac shrugged. “I do not know. Maybe because it is called Iceland?” He smirked slightly. Hawk shot him a nasty glare and stomped on his foot. Issac rose an eyebrow at her. She glared “Hmph!” She said before turning away from him. Issac mouthed a silent ow and crossed his arms. Everyone seemed to be a bit impatient as they waited for instructions. Some just kind of wandered around the area they were in, gaping at the high ceilings and emptiness of it all.
Mr. Darien, having wandered off earlier came back, clothing draped over his arms. Everyone paled quickly, seeing the words School Uniform printed neatly on a piece of paper on top. “You have got to be kidding me.” Kadaj groaned as the purple and black uniforms were set down on the table in front of them. “These…are the um…School Uniforms…” Darien muttered nervously. The uniforms were dreadful. The boys wore black slacks, black blazers, lavender button up shirts and a deep purple tie. The girls uniform was even worse. They wore knee-length dark purple skirts, black knee-high socks with a purple stripe, penny loafers, black vests, and a lavender button up blouse with frills.
The students were quickly sent off to change into their clothing. Cutlass was having the worst time trying to put on his tie. “I don’t wear ties!” he complained before Michael came over and helped him quickly. “It’s easy.” He said and finished. “There!” Michael smiled. “Thank you.” Cutlass said with an odd face. Soon, everyone stood in front of Mr. Darien in their uniforms. He smiled, still nervous. “Very well then. You all look very nice. You have the rest of the day to do as you please. Your classes start tomorrow.” Mr. Darien quickly turned, rushing off as fast as possible.
As soon as he left, adjustments were made to the uniforms. Skirts were rolled up, socks pushed down, shoes changed, jackets and vests redone. It was a mess. Hawk complained about how the shoes didn’t go with the uniform and they could kiss her ass if they made her change out of her favorite pair. Issac just shook his head at her. Rose growled, ripping up parts of her uniform. Armok rose an eyebrow at her. “What?” She asked. “Nothing. Just enjoying the show.” He smirked at her. Rose glared back at him.
Sam was the only girl who left her uniform alone. Cutlass and Michael seemed to leave theirs alone as well. Hikari rolled up her skirt, took off the vest and ripped the ruffles off her shirt. “Much better.” She said happily. Kat took the ruffles and vest off. Other than that she would be fine for now. Not much of the outfit bothered her. Rose glanced around before pulling a few papers out of her bag. The map of the school. She glanced around before heading towards the cafeteria. Armok, Kat and Sam found themselves walking with her and sitting at the same table. A small alliance in this school? Yes. Yes it was.
Hikari found her way towards Michael, Steven, and Cutlass. “Are you guys going to go get lunch?” She asked. “And why wouldn’t we?” Steven asked, grinning. A large rumble could be heard. Hikari blinked and looked down at Cutlass. Cutlass grinned. “I’m starving!” He said. Hikari smiled at him, thinking of him as a little brother. Michael laughed some and the four headed towards the cafeteria, not too far behind the first group to go.
Amara stood next to Issac, Hawk, and Kadaj. “Shall we go then?” Issac asked, glancing at Hawk who had run out of energy to complain. “Tch. Duh!” she said, grabbing Issacs hand and running towards the cafeteria. Kadaj looked at Amara and she shrugged. “Lets go then!” She said smiling, bouncing off with the two. Kadaj groaned and followed. As soon as he was done eating, he knew exactly what he wanted to do. Go find some chick to bang to get out his frustrations. Oh yeah. That was Kadaj alright.
When the last two groups entered the cafeteria, they found it in an uproar. A large group stood in a circle in the middle of the cafeteria. The words ‘fight fight fight’ being chanted over and over again. Kat grinned “Get her Rose!” She yelled. Sam had covered her eyes. She had tried to stop the fight earlier, but words couldn’t do too much. Armok stood, arms crossed, smirking. This was very amusing to him. Rose was in the middle of it. As per usual. She growled, hitting some girl she had pinned on the ground. The girl started something on the grounds of Rose’s attire and how it was whore-ish. Rose, not pleased, lunged at the girl.
The new students quickly pushed themselves to the front of the circle to see the fight. Blood was speckled lightly across the floor from the girl on the grounds split lip and bloody nose. Michael and Steven rushed forward, pulling Rose off the girl. Rose growled, kicked and fought against them before Hikari put a tight hold on the back of her neck, pinching two points to calm her down. “Calm down, this is retarded.” She said, glaring slightly. Two students ran over to the girl on the ground and helped her up. The girl pushed their hands off of her and glared at Hikari. “Oh. You must be the other whore.” Hikari quickly lost her temper and lunged at the girl herself, only to be restrained by Issac and Kadaj. The girl grinned and limped off, wiping her bloody nose.
“I believe,” Issac started, releasing Hikari after she had calmed down some. “That this school is too hostile for us to all split up into cliques.” He finished, crossing his arms. Armok nodded, surveying the students around them. “Agreed.” He said quickly. “Hey! Guys!” Amara yelled, waving her arms from a large table. Everyone shrugged and walked over, taking a seat where they felt most comfortable. They sat and chatted, still in their small groups, even at the table. At the end of dinner, they were dismissed to their dorms. Tomorrow would be one helluva ride.

FRILLS?!
OH MY GOD FRILLS?!
I'd rip those frills off SO FAST
And you always roll your skirt in a uniform school. Unless you're a browner. Or you've hemmed it to be shorter.

Tap tap tap tap tap ta- “Miss Hatcher, please stop tapping your pencil.” Kat looked up and rose an eyebrow. “You must be kidding me?” The teacher gave her a look that assured Kat that she was not, in fact, kidding her. Kat sighed and slammed her pencil down. Rose looked over at Kat before balling up a sheet of paper and beaning the teacher in the back of the head with it when she turned around. The teacher let out a small noise of surprise before turning around and glaring at the students. “Who threw that?!” She yelled. Rose and Kat pointed at Steven, who was staring out the window.
“Steven Severs!” Steven blinked and looked over. “Huh?” The teacher slammed a pink sheet of paper down on his desk. “What did I do?!” He demanded. She glared at him. “Don’t play stupid. You know exactly what you did. Detention starts right after school.” She turned and walked back to her desk. Steven looked around the classroom before his eyes fell on Rose and Kat who had collapsed on their desk in a fit of giggles. “Ha Ha.” He said in a less than enthused tone. “Very funny you two.” The girls grinned at him. “That’s what you get for insulting my team.” Kat said, smirking at him.
The bell rang, marking the end of second period. The three stood up and went to leave. Two girls settled themselves in front of Rose and Kat. “Who do you think you are getting Steven in trouble like that?” They asked, looking a bit angry. It was known that Steven had collected a few fan girls within the past few days. Kat rolled her eyes. “What’s it to you?” she asked. “You can’t treat him like that!” one of them yelled. Rose sighed. “Girls, if you would kindly move,” Rose went to step around one of them. “I’d like to get to my third perio-“ Rose was cut off by one of the girls shoving her.
Rose let out a small growl. “That’s it.” She lunged at the girl. Kat laughed as the girl flew backwards on to her ass before Rose leaped on her. The girl standing across from Kat glared at her and went to hit her. Kat sneered and brought up her fist. The girl squeaked and ran down the hall. That only made Kat laugh even more. She looked down at Rose who was pulling herself back up to her feet, wiping blood from the corner of her mouth. The girl who Rose attacked limped down the hall. Rose grinned. “Shall we go?” She asked Kat. Kat nodded and the two headed out. Steven growled, walking next to his brother for third period. “What’s wrong with you?” Michael asked curiously. Steven held up a slip of pink paper with “Detention” written in bold black letters. Michael blinked and tilted his head to the side. “I’m not surprised.” He said as he crossed his arms. Steven quickly shot him a look. “It wasn’t even my fault!” He exclaimed, kicking a locker as he walked past. Michael jumped as he kicked the locker. “Than whose was it?” he asked. “Those stupid girls! Kat and Rose.” He grumbled as they entered their third period.
As they entered, Hikari signaled the two to come sit by her. She smiled, Cutlass sitting next to her. The boys looked at each other and shrugged. They grabbed two desks and pulled them over to sit by Hikari. Cutlass glanced around. “The teacher still isn’t here.” He grinned, coming up with a diabolical plan. The three sitting next to him groaned as they watched the wheels turn. He pulled a few things out of his bag and snuck to the front of the class. Cutlass peeked over the desk, the Mission Impossible theme suddenly playing in his head. He waved for Steven to come join him.
Steven grinned and got up to go. Michael grabbed his arm and pointed to the pink slip hanging out of his jean pocket. Steven gave Cutlass the “oh darn” face. Cutlass sighed and grumbled as he got back to work. The bell just as Cutlass returned back to his seat. “What did you do??” Asked Hikari anxiously. “You’ll see soon enough.” Cutlass couldn’t help but laugh maniacally, which attracted the attention of several other students. << >> o.o >< “Go back to work minions!” He shouted. Michael and Steven shot Hikari a questioning look. She shrugged her shoulders.
It was very apparent that Hikari had taken to Cutlass as an older sister. Cutlass liked it in some aspects. Others, not so much. Especially when she made it a point to wipe his face off in the cafeteria. That was embarrassing. Then there was the protective thing. Two older boys tried to gang up on Cutlass earlier in the day. As soon as they went to grab Cutlass, Hikari had sent them hurling across the room into the wall. They quickly apologized and ran off with their tails between their legs. Hikari then had walked Cutlass to class, growling at anyone who even thought of hurting the younger boy.
A few moments later, a teacher came rushing in, the four sitting in by the window in the corner recognized him as Mr. Darien. Mr. Darien stood in front of the class, wringing his hand nervously. “H-Hello Class.” He smiled a bit. A few people in the class giggled quietly at Mr. Darien’s disheveled appearance. It was amusing. His tie lay flopped over his shoulder, papers stuck out of his brief case and his button down shirt was hanging half way out of his slacks. Mr. Darien cleared his throat and fixed his tie and shirt before turning around to the white board. “Alright Class, today we’ll be learning about...” He started his lecture.
Michael turned his head as Mr. Darien started to speak and stared out the window. It was actually a beautiful day today. But he had learned never to trust what he saw in the weather here. He knew that even though the sun was shining, it was about forty degrees Fahrenheit today. He let out a sigh and hoped for slightly warmer weather. He found himself zoning out slightly, losing interest in the weather quickly. His thoughts turned to home. He missed it a little. It was a bit boring here. There was never much to do. But, the people on the other hand, were very interesting. Michael had found himself getting closer to Hikari in a way. She talked to him a lot and seemed to confide in him. He liked that. A lot of the students seemed to like talking to him as well.
He smiled to himself as he thought more about it. Though, his smile quickly turned into a look of confusion as he felt something poking his elbow. Michael blinked and looked down to see what it was; it was a note. He tilted his head to the side and looked at the handwriting. It was from Hikari. Michael glanced over at her. She smiled back at him and made a motion, urging him to read the note. He nodded and picked up the folded paper. She had actually folded it in the shape of a crescent moon. He smiled and began to read it.
Michael,
I was wondering if you would meet me after class in the courtyard. I really need to talk with you about something...It’s important. I don’t know who else to say something to. If you can’t come...I understand. But, could you please?
Thank you so much, Hikari
Michael smiled again and nodded at Hikari. She grinned before leaning back over her desk to listen to what the teacher was saying. Michael turned his head and looked back out the window. He wondered what she wanted to talk to him about. It could be anything really. But, with the urgency in the tone of the letter, he knew it was important. He wouldn’t let her down. He’d listen. And he knew he’d do what he could to help her.
Soon, the bell marking the end of third period rang, releasing the students to their lunch period. Hikari leaped up and waited for Michael to grab his things. Once he finished, the two started their walk to the courtyard. “So...What did you need to talk to me about?” He asked as he pulled open the glass doors. Hikari walked over to a bench and sat down, motioning for him to sit by her. She looked a bit nervous. Maybe it really was that important. He sat down and waited for her response. Hikari shifted in her seat.
She pulled off her arm warmers slowly. Michael made a strange face and peered over. He paled slightly as he saw pink scars appear on the girls arms as the cloth came off. He looked up at her as she sighed. “I didn’t know who to talk to about it. The only person that came to mind...was you.” Hikari said, watching him. Michael nodded. After a moment of silence, he finally spoke. “Did...you do that to yourself?” He asked this quietly. Michael was still a bit freaked out by it. Hikari nodded slowly. Tears began to slip down her cheeks.
Michael looked up from her arms and pulled her into a hug. Hikari began to sob right then. He held her there, letting her cry. “It’s alright...” He said quietly. Hikari clung and let it all out. Finally, when she stopped crying, she pulled away. She smiled at him, still teary eyed. Hikari sniffed and wiped away the tears. “Thank you...” Michael smiled back at her and nodded. “Anytime.” He watched her before speaking again. “What made you do that?” He asked curiously. Hikari sighed. “I...don’t exactly like me.” She shifted and looked down at her lap.
Michael was a bit confused by this. “But you’re a wonderful person...” Hikari laughed bitterly at this. “There’s always some reason to never feel good enough.” She shrugged and looked at him. “But I like you.” He smiled. Hikari smiled a bit herself. “At least someone does...” Michael stood up and offered Hikari his hand. “Why don’t we go get some lunch?” Hikari took his hand and stood, putting her arm warmers back on. “Lets.” She smiled and followed him out of the courtyard to the cafeteria.
Rose made a small noise of surprise as Hawk yanked her boot off. She looked over at her. “What are you doing?!” Hawk grinned and pulled out a tube of super glue. “Fixing your shoe silly.” She looked down at Rose’s boot which had the heel falling off. “...With super glue?” Rose tilted her head to the side as Hawk got to work. “It’s three different kinds of super glue. Isaac made it for me. Didn’t ya Isaac?” Isaac nodded and watched Hawk carefully. Hawk put the super glue on the heel and stuck it back in place, holding it there for a few moments. Finally, she removed her hand. “There! Good as new!” She handed Rose back her boot with a smile.
Just as Rose went to stand, Hawk yanked off her other boot to fix that one. The pull sent Rose toppling into Armok, whose tray went flying into Sam. Sam sighed and proceeded to wipe the mashed potato mess off of her shirt. Armok helped Rose back on to her feet. She ‘hmphed’ and crossed her arms, turning away from him. “Yeah. You’re welcome.” he grumbled. Rose turned to Sam and smiled apologetically. “I’m so sorry.” Sam smiled back at her. “Oh it’s fine. It’s not like it won’t come out...” Kat poked her head up from listening to her iPod and rose her hand. “I can help.” Sam smiled at her as well. “Thank you Kat.” Kat nodded. “If I can get blood out of a hockey jersey, mash potatoes shouldn’t be too complicated.”
Sam seemed to pale a bit at the thought of how much blood Kat had to get out of hockey jerseys. “Alright then.” Just as they finished their conversation, Michael and Hikari sat down at the table. Hikari looked a bit disheveled; as did Michael. Steven rose an eyebrow at the two. They looked at the group then each other. Both seemed to scoot about a foot away from each other. No one had to ask any questions. “We didn’t.” Hikari answered. Michael grimaced. “Why would you think that?” Steven shrugged and went back to eating his food. Amara bounced up to the table a few minutes after Hikari and Michael showed up. “Looks like the gangs all here.” She said happily. Everyone nodded.
After a few moments of silence Isaac folded his hands and rested his chin on them. “We are missing Kadaj.” Everyone got very quiet. “Where do ya think he’d be?” Hawk asked, a bit naive to the situation. Kat made a gagging noise. Hawk gave her a funny look. “I’m serious!” Rose giggled quietly. “What??” Hawk looked around at everyone. Armok grinned and made a crude gesture with his fingers. Hawk looked over at Isaac. “What’s dat mean?” Isaac looked a bit caught off guard. He looked around the table for help from the others. He realized quickly enough that he wouldn’t get any.
Isaac sighed quietly and cursed everyone at the table under his breath. Hawk watched him curiously. He leaned over to Hawk and whispered into her ear. Hawk’s face turned bright red, and Assassins was a light shade of pink. “Oh...” She looked over at Armok. “Dat’s disgustin’!” She threw her spork at him from across the table. Armok laughed and caught the spork before setting it down on his own tray. “But we all know that’s exactly where he is.” Everyone at the table nodded. Amara shuddered. “Ew.” She shook it off quickly.
Hawk finished with Rose’s other shoe and tossed it back to her. Rose laced her boots up before folding her arms on the table and putting her head on t hem in turn. She watched everyone as they chatted. She noticed Isaac watching an administrator escort a student back into the cafeteria. “Hm...” He noted this quietly before looking over at Rose, who was still watching him. “That girls in my first period.” She said, watching the girl sit down at her own table across the cafeteria. Sam heard them and followed their gaze. She nodded. “She looks a bit...perturbed.” Rose and Isaac nodded their own agreement.
Everyone looked over at the girl moments later. “Hey...Isn’t she in that class we all have together?” Kat asked. “Yeah...That supernatural class they’re making us take.” Steven answered her. “Why are we even taking that class?” Hikari asked, frustrated. “It’s interesting enough...but I dunno. Some things in that class just kinda....” Michael trailed off. “Fit?” Amara questioned. Everyone nodded. “So I’m not the only one noticing it.” Armok leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms. “How odd....” Sam noted. “Don’t we have dat class next?” Hawk asked. “Yes. Yes we do.” Rose answered. The bell that ended lunch rang only a few seconds later. “Speak of the devil...” Steven grabbed his bag and slung it over his shoulder. “Lets go then.” Isaac sighed and stood up himself. The group headed to their fourth period. This would be interesting.
