As her soul rose from her dead body, she looked around. There was only one mourner. Just one. She looked at him, her soul not visible. Her gaze turned from him to her body. It was a clean death, a peaceful death. She felt no pain. She also felt like she was restricted...trapped.
That was when she saw him. Rage grew in her mind and heart. He had just let her slip away. Wasn't he the one that was supposed to save her?! His face just looked at her body and turned away. He did not care. Tears slipped down her face as music started to play.
"You know, you're not the only one..."
Her eyes turned down.
"When they all come crashing down, midflight, you know you're not the only one."
She looked back up, now pissed. The three of them were in the room now. Rose was trying to revive her. AFR was crying...still. And there he was...just standing. She just grew angrier.
"When they're so alone they find a back door out of life, you know you're not the only one."
Her attention turned to AFR. Her heart lightened at his tears. She wanted to wipe them away. He was the one she really cared for. He was the only one that really cared.
"We're all grieving, lost and bleeding."
She then turned her attention back to him. She hated him. Why couldn't he care like AFR did?! Was it because she wasn't Rose? Selia? It wasn't fair. She stormed over to him and got in his face. He couldn't see her, of course, but she nearly screamed the song at him. Her anger was growing.
"All our lives, we've been waiting for someone to call our leader. All your lies, I'm not believing."
Her eyes then glanced up. She knew that she would never be set free.
"Heaven shine a light down on me."
Looking away for a second, she then thought more. Her attention then turned to her best friend, Rose.
"So afraid to open your eyes, hypnotized," she sang before her attention turned to him. "You know you're not the only one that never understood this life. And you're right, I don't deserve you but you know I'm not the only one. We're all grieving, lost and bleeding." Her eyes turned to AFR at the last sentence. A smile crossed her face, but that was before she turned back to him. Pain now crossed onto her face. She looked at all three of them, him being her main focus.
"All our lives, we've been waiting for someone to call our leader. All your lies, I'm not believing." Her eyes then glanced up. "Heaven shine a light down on me."
As quickly as she said that, she turned to AFR. Pain and love flashed across her face. She wanted to be with him so bad.
"Don't look down. Don't look into the eyes of the world beneath you. Don't look down, you'll fall down. You'll become their sacrifice. Right or wrong. Can't hold onto the fear that I'm lost without you. If I can't feel, I'm not mine. I'm not real."
She cried out to him, clutching at her heart. She was lost without him. Everything she had ever done was for him. She knew that she made the wrong choice. She knew in her heart that she chose him only for the sex. She didn't really love him. She used to, but not anymore. It was fake. She was the only one who loved and got none in return. Maybe she should correct her mistake.
She now knew why she was being held back. It was him, the one she really loved. He held her back. She loved him so much. She only had one last chance.
"All our lives, we've been waiting for someone to call our leader. All your lies, I'm not believing."
Then there was a large flash of light. She saw it to her left. Looking up, she walked towards it. Maybe it was her call to go. She reached out her hands. "Heaven shine a light down on me." But before she could step into it, it vanished. Turning, she felt her soul being sucked back into her body. Hikari awoke.
