Kat was still laughing because it was actually outrageously funny, mostly because it was Assassin who said it. "Nah, ten years give or take. I imagine you were a very serious fourteen year old though." Like the most serious teenager ever.

"I was."
He said lightly with another shrug.
"I was in a prison when I was fourteen though which is probably when I realized those sort of jokes weren't always the best things to say."

Assassin pulled Kat closer when she kissed him so he could wrap his arms around her as he started to kiss her back.

Nick put his arm back around Hawk, "Only if you come mingle with me." On account of they are married and whatever << I wonder if anybody else knows that.

Kat smiled again, wrapping her arms around his neck properly when he pulled her closer. She pulled away, just a little, after a moment, because she was probably going to ruin it with talking or whatever, "I love you, I'm sorry." You know, for generally being terrible at everything.

Kat sighed, shrugging a little, "I don't know. I pushed you away and then got mad about it." She did that a lot, which was kind of dumb.

Assassin took a small step away from Kat, mostly just to look at her better.

He rubbed the back of his neck.

"Well they think you're pretty." True! Nick was going to kind of smile and pull Hawk over to a chair to sit, "A lot of people want to know how we met." And other such hard to answer questions. "And when we got married." >> Maybe they should have sent out like a bulletin or something.

Kat sighed again, running a hand through her hair with a shrug, "I was mad." Which is mostly why she did anything ever, "I was angry and humiliated, and I don't...get over those things easily." Case in point, she still kind of hated Armok. Like way too much to be rational, probably, but stupid Rose had to go ahead and marry him, "When me and Rose--left, it was--" She broke off, looking faintly frustrated, "I had to adjust to the idea of life without the SC, and it turns out it wasn't the worst thing, but I couldn't adjust to the idea of life without you. So. I don't know." She shrugged again, helplessly, because she was bad at trying to get across whatever the hell she was talking about, "So I got mad at you and everyone else for it." For like months at a time apparently.

Assassin watched her with a carefully neutral expression on his face.
"I never did apologize to you about the whole situation with Armok. I should have done more than what I did...especially against the way he treated you and Rose."
He gave her shoulder a light squeeze.
"I would not want to be the thing that keeps you somewhere you are not happy, Kat. I can't blame you for being upset when you put it all that way and if there's something I can do to help you just let me know."

"Well I did." You know, like the important people, but just because they were french didn't mean he knew all of them, "I guess the news just didn't circulate that well." THANKS GUYS, THANKS A LOT D<

Kat gave him a faint smile, "Isaac, you make me happy." Just because she was super melodramatic about it didn't mean she actually hated being around the SC, "I'm not trying to guilt trip you, I'm just...sorry I put you through it."
