They do see it. The Vatican is very... opposed... to the Shadow Clan and its influence on the civilized world. Many factors led them to their decision... and none of them are anything I regret. My hatred for Armok... I hate him for being what I am, and not hating himself for it.

Z smiled. "Glad to hear it, Lianne... I don't want to let you go a moment too soon." He put his hand to hers... and they were off to a gas station. It didn't take long to find. First lighted structure to the left was a gas station. He looked back to her. "You're about to learn your next lesson in deception... fools and their money are soon parted." It was a simple scheme... and Z would teach her how to execute it perfectly.

Z smiled. "Excellent..." He held her hand and they pulled into the gas station. "Just follow my lead..." He smiled and walked in with her hand in hand. "I don't suppose you could make a bigger bill sir?" He looked at Z and shrugged. "Great. I got 10 one dollar bills here. can I have a ten?" The guy exchanged the bills for a ten. Z snuck Lianne the bill. and then opened his wallet... waiting.

"Sir you only gave me 9 ones."

Z bit his lip and sighed. "I'm sorry buddy. Say... tell you what... here's the extra buck and that 10 why don't I get a 20?" He nodded and took it all and handed Z the 20.

"Is that all?" the clerk asked.

"Quite alright... thanks." He smirked at Lianne. "Hey, Lianne. Why don't you grab us a few things for the road? I'll start the pump." He looked to the clerk. "Say... what's that brand of snuff there..." This was always in the discreet corner behind the counter. As the clerk went diving for Rooster gold. Z snaked his arm forward and took about 7 20's from the register the dumb ass clerk never closed. "Meh... never mind... I thought it was mint."
