He smiled and offered his arm again. "Sounds good." They moved to the outside. "A wonderful evening... don't you think?" He smiled at her. "How about by the meadow?... the wind is rather dormant tonight."

And again Natalie took his arm. She sighed breathing the fresh air. This was much better.
"Yeah, it is nice," she returned the smile. "And okay. The meadow sounds good."

Kane led them there. The moon was shining down on them From there the Base was just an off sight sore to the eyes. They made it to a patch of soft grass and he stopped. "This place seems perfect. Shall we?" He breathed in the air and gazed up at the stars. "This is what life is meant to be... " He sat down cross legged and patted the ground next to him for her to join him.

Natalie sat down criss-cross-applesauce, cause that's how you really say it. xD. She nodded. Bane and Muir laid off to the side, with Anzu cuddled up on Muir's back. Natalie shivered a little. She should have brought a jacket.
"How about a fire?" she asked.

He nodded. "That would be great." He noticed her shiver. He wrapped his arm around her. "Well... the tea will come quite in handy." He offered her a cup and the sugar from a satchel he had... "here you go." He poured her a cup.

Natalie took a sip from the cup and set it down. She whistled to Bane.
"Bane, would you mind getting us some wood for a fire?" she asked. Bane nodded and bounded off, soon returning with a large clutch of branches which he set a couple feet infront of them.
"Thank you Bane." Bane went and laid back down. Natalie created a small fireball, and levitated it over to the woodpile, where it caught hold and began to grow.
"Ahh. Thats better." Natalie grinned and took another sip.

Kane looked impressed. "They follow you quite well. And you haven't had them longer then a week." He smiled. "You have quite a way with animals, Natalie. That's really special." He didn't have that tight a bond with animals... but he had his strong points. "wow... that's quite a talent you have..." He looked on as she set the fire pouring his own tea.

Natalie shrugged.
"What is amazing is how you brought AFR and Armok back to life." she smiled, sipping her tea.
"Now that was incredible." she really was in awe of that.

Kane ran is hand through his hair. "It's a custom of my people. We work in death and promote life." He really didn't see much special about it. "We all die at least twice in Nhycia... once the moment we are born and another during teaching of the Necromancy arts. We are well prepared for death... but... he's angry..." Back to that again. "Death does not smile at those who cheat him. He makes points to claim them. That's why... I fear for Rose and the other Demoness."

Natalie's eyes were wide.
"So you have died? Wow. That's.... not something you hear everyday."
Natalie fidgeted, twirling her hair.
"What was it like, do you remember?" She asked, hoping she wasn't prying into something private.

He smiled still. "A separation of mind and body... when you die your soul severs from your mortal body and you are allotted time to cope with your loses before Death comes to claim you." He closed his eyes. "I don't remember much about my birth death... but each Nhycian meets Death during their second year of Necromancy training. Our powers preserve the mind so we could keep a body dead but preserved for hours with little trouble... days with small exertion... and months if we commit to it." He looked back at her. "Death is not as you may have heard... he's not a skeleton in a cloak. He is a demonic man... His scythe is made of the back bone of a black bear and the blade is so sharp it could cut the soul itself."

"...wow." she breathed. "It sounds very interesting, but I don't think I'd like to try it." She took another sip and set down the cup. She stood, approaching the bonfire, which was chest high.
"I love fire. I love all of the elements, but fire especially." She reached out, reaching her hand in the flames. They did not burn, but licked her hand like a friendly kitten. She turned to Kane.
"What do you love, Kane?"

Kane sat and thought. "I love life... all forms." He looked around. "I love nature. I love the stars at night. I love the way sunset looks after a long summer day. I love a full moon. I love peace..." He looked down. "I love my wife... who was stolen from me."

Natalie listened and frowned. She sat back down and placed her hand on his shoulder.
"I'm so sorry, Kane. I didn't mean to bring up unpleasant memories. I'm just, trying to get to know you. I...it must have been terrible, to lose the one you love." She sighed, fidgeting once more.

Kane nodded. "It's not easy... but please, don't stop trying getting to know me. I have a lot of things to say, good and bad. I feel like... I could give them to you without fear. He smiled and held her hand. "You're a grand friend, Natalie... and for a while there I didn't know how in the world to cope losing that love in my life... you came along and taught me life goes on after love is lost. Don't be sorry... you cause me anything but pain."

Natalie blushed.
"Thank you Kane. You too are a grand friend. Your the only person here I can really count a 'friend', actually. Everyone else is more of an acquaintance. I'm proud to help you. And, I won't. Stop trying, I mean."
She sighed and looked away to the stars.
"Sometimes, I truly think I can fly high enough to touch one." she mused. "It's silly, I know."

"Thank you... that means a lot to me, Natalie." He smiled. "Ever since you came here I've found new senses of being and oneness. It's that I'm not alone... that I'll never have no one." Kane shook his head and smiled. "Funny. I too wish to touch them. I don't find that silly at the least. It keeps the mind striving and the body knowing what it means to lust for the sky."

Natalie smiled.
"Of course you are not alone, Kane. Sometimes you just have to wait awhile to find the ones who'll stick around."

Bianca was up talking with her doctor and not looking too happy. She was still weak and stuff and this guy was all up in her business. Well, not like that. He was still there bothering her to no end. Which meant he was helping her cause ya know, a thirty-one year old having a heart attack because her heart was weak is, ya know, not cool.

AFR was snoring... he practically face planted at her side, but his grip remained cemented to her hand throughout. He started to groan and stirred. He was kissing at her fingers out of pure instinct. His eyes were still closed, but he began to come to.
Kane smiled. "It's nice." He looked down at the thermus. "So what do you think of this combination, Natalie?" He hoped she liked it.
