Assassin continued to make his way through the store, avoiding going near the counters as best he could. He would slow down just a bit to keep her interested, heading for the fountain outside of the main doors.

Kat fell for the bait pretty easily, although she was getting more annoyed when he would slow down just enough to almost let her get him, and then BAM! He'd move, and she'd be thrown off. Effective strategy though, she trailed after Assassin through the store, occasionally bursting into a flurry of slashing.

Assassin watched her frustration grow but hopefully it would be over soon. He felt the back of his legs bump into the fountain and he glanced back at Kat. All he needed was her to attack him once more.

Bwuaha! She thought she had him cornered. Or semi-cornered, really. She lunged at Assassin, looking like she fully intended on taking his head off or something. D:

Assassin allowed himself to fall back into the fountain only a few seconds before Kat lunged at him. He reached up as she came closer to him and pulled her into the fountain as well.

And into the fountain she fell. It took a few seconds, but it worked, shocking her back into non-mindlessness. Yay! She sat up in the water, spluttering and wiping it out of her eyes. "...What the hell am I doing in a fountain?" Okay, so she didn't remember yet, give her a couple minutes.

Assassin didn't answer her right away. He was waiting to see what came back to her without anyone telling her. He did, however, climb out of the fountain, which was now a slightly murky red because of the blood coming out of his wounds.

Kat winced, reaching up to crack her nose back into place when she felt her healing kick back in. She paused, looking at her hands, which still had a fair bit of blood and stuff, despite being in water. Standing up, she stared at her hands, before looking over at Assassin. "Oh God...I did that?" It was a rhetorical question, really, she knew she did. Covering her face with her hands for a moment, she sighed heavily, muttering to herself, before dragging a hand through her hair, and stepping out of the fountain. "I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry." Man, she had to find Rose and apologize to her too...and probably Kaimu and Robyn, for scaring them. And she wasn't even going to think about all the people she had thought were zombies but actually weren't.

"It is alright. It was not your fault." Assassin knew that probably, to her, it was far from that but he didn't know what more to say about it. He glanced back at the store, which still partially on fire from the other zombies. He was fairly certain that he had heard Rose and AFR running but was not sure where they had gone exactly.

Kat nodded absently, shifting back to her human form as she leaned over the water, scrubbing the blood out from under her fingernails, despite the fact that the water was bloody too. "...Do you know where everybody else went?" She could probably sniff them out, if she had to, but there was a hell of a lot of other distracting scents around, like perfume and blood that she would prefer not to deal with right now. She glanced over at Assassin again, once she was half-way satisfied with the way her hands looked again, "...More importantly, do you know which way Hawk went?" Eck. None of his wounds looked good. Which made her feel twice as bad as she had felt before.

Assassin shrugged as best he could without moving too much. They still had more problems to deal with, "Rose and AFR went to get Kaimu, I believe." He paused to think, "They went that way..." He wasn't sure but it was probably a good guess. He paused when he saw Kat glance at him and looked down at himself. "...Lady Hawk should be around here still..." He was still going on adrenaline and could no longer feel much of anything in his body.

Kat glanced around the deserted mall entrance, before spotting a door left ajar, with steps leading upwards. Presumably towards the roof, which, duh, is where all the bad guys hang out. "Alright. Hawk first, then everybody else." Easier said then done. Pffft, Hawk had probably gone after everybody else anyways.

Assassin shook his head but found it was probably easier for him to stay standing if he didn't move too much. "We need to get to the others as soon as possible." Rose was just as worse off as he was and he didn't know AFR's condition.

Kat rolled her eyes, "And then what do you do once we get there?" If Radiant had Kaimu, then it was to be presumed that they would have to fight her to get Kaimu back. And as strong as she knew Assassin was, it didn't seem very smart to run into a battle when you were already injured from the last one.

Assassin sat down on the edge of the fountain after looking back at the stairs for a moment. He didn't like the idea of leaving the others to fight without any back up and considering their opponent, he knew they would need it. He glanced back at Kat, "...I will rest for a bit but if Lady Hawk does not show by then I will just go to the roof anyway." Kat seemed to be healing and would probably be their trump card against the angel.

Kat considered it for a moment. That was probably the best she could get him to agree to, considering the circumstances. She nodded, "Fine. But I get to sit here and be worried the entire time then." So there. Bah. Maybe she should try to track Hawk.

"I suppose that is fair enough but I am sorry to say that you smell slightly like a overpriced teen store." All the perfumes together still lingered enough on her that he could pick up the scent. Her sense of smell had probably been overwhelmed by it.

"Bleh. Don't remind me, I've been trying to ignore it." Ugh, it was everywhere. She was going to burn these clothes the first chance she got, but it was in her hair, and it would probably stay there for another week or two. At least to her, everyone else probably wouldn't be able to smell it. "I always hated the perfume section." Ick. Yay distracting conversation!

"It never really bothered me until it was poision mist and acid." He moved off the edge of the fountain slowly and sat down on the ground to lean back against it. Rose had healed the stab wound by it still stung. He was going to superglue Hawk's shoes to the closet floor for that one.

Kat grinned wryly at the thought, "Sorry I missed that part..." She wandered a few feet away from the fountain, unconsciously rubbing her hands together to get off whatever blood she might have missed. She looked inside the Macy's store, her eyes wandering over all the destruction she and Hawk had managed to cause. With some help from perfume throwing zombies of course, but she still felt like it was mostly her.
